Ingredients For Watermelon Vodka Cocktails
Watermelon. I love using fresh watermelon here because it makes those cocktails that much more delicious. You can use store-bought watermelon juice, its still delicious. But, nothing beats fresh!
Lime. The lime juice adds some tang and more freshness to this cocktail.
Vodka. I was about to say this was the star of the show but then I realized this is a watermelon cocktail so now Im a bit confused Either way, dont forget the vodka!
Triple sec. Just a little bit.
Agave. Watermelon is pretty sweet to begin with, but Im someone that loves sweet cocktails ok sweet everything. Ive got a serious sweet tooth if you havent noticed. But, I like to add just a bit of extra sweetness to this drink.
Ice. I wasnt sure if I should include this as an official ingredient but, you need ice. I like to use crushed ice or small-cubed ice. If you have big cubes you can pop it in a ziploc bag and crush it with a meat tenderizer, or blend it up in small batches to crush the ice a bit.

What Is The Best Brand Of Vodka To Buy
I know it can be tempting to buy the cheapest bottle possible, but I highly encourage you not to. While vodka cocktails have mixers and add-ins that will add to the flavor of the drink, the liquor itself is still a very important part of the recipe.
A cheaper vodka is much less smooth and will add more of the unpleasant alcohol taste, whereas a more mid-range version creates a smooth drink that doesnt have any bitterness to it.
The good news is, you dont have to spend a lot of cash to get a nice vodka. Many bottles are under $20 and will last you a while. I have tried several different brands and my favorites are Titos and Boyd & Blair but experiment and see which you prefer.
