    Jim Beam Bourbon Sour

Another reliable release from Jim Beam, which according to the company, has been distilled in a pre-Prohibition style. As most Rye whiskeys, this one isnt afraid to make its presence known on your taste buds. Rye whiskeys have notoriously been considered as a whiskey thatis not for everyone, and the Jim Beam Rye falls comfortably under that description. For the ones who love it, there could be nothing better but for the ones that dont like it, they might never really develop an affinity for it.

So is the Jim Beam Rye any good? Definitely. It brings to the fore everything that people love about Rye whiskey, and has been known to really elevate a whiskey cocktail. Quite spicy, as one might expect, and there is that caramelized Oak, some hints of vanilla and leather. Its not the smoothest Rye whiskeys out there, but it is definitely not one of the bad ones. Famously scored an impressive 92 points at the Ultimate Spirits Challenge in 2015.

    Pop Your Whiskey Sour Cherry

One fun new take on the traditional whiskey sour is to replace maraschino cherries with ripe whole cherries. You can skewer them, hang them over the edge of the glass with their rugged stems, or you could slice, pit, and freeze ripe cherries and drop them into the glass along with ice cubes. They’ll cool your drink and as they thaw they’ll sweeten it with a delicious natural flavor!

    Which Bourbon Is The Smoothest

While Jim Beam has established a reputation in the industry for producing high-quality bourbon whiskey that is extremely smooth, Evan Williams beat them in this comparison. While the Jim Beam selection is smooth without a question, its the kind of smoothness that you would expect from a regular glass of water. This as opposed to the smooth velvet-like texture that you experience when drinking the Evan Williams selection.

    Jim Beam: Een Chte Bourbon

Jim Beam Peach Cocktail Recipe Contest | Whiskey Bourbon Summer

Does Coke Go Well With Bourbon Whisky

Yes, bourbon and coke make a great combination, and together, the drink is flavorful and attracts the drinkers. But, one thing to remember is, not all Bourbons have the same spirits. All are different and produce different flavors that one may like and others will not.

Therefore, choose the bourbon that suits you and gives you the kick that you desire.

Does Whiskey And Coke Get You Drunk

One way to get more drunk is to mix Whisky with Diet Coke. The sugars in regular Coke get in the way of your body absorbing the drink. But Diet Coke has no such problems since it has very little actual sugar.

Apart from this, diet coke is certainly lower in calories. So if you want to get drunk quickly and watch your calories at the same time, mix your drink with diet Coke.

Jim Beam Black Label Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

This was an eight year old Jim Beam straight Bourbon, and available as a six year old in some regions but Jim Beam decided to drop the age-statement completely in 2015. The bottle also uses the term Triple Aged which surprisingly does not mean the spirit has been aged in three different barrels. Instead, Jim Beam have chosen a complicated way to communicate that the whiskey has been aged three times as much as the requirements for straight Bourbons. Could they have said it better? Probably, but the lack of specified guidelines in America, unlike Scotland could be to blame for that one.

Now about the whiskey itself this is a smooth, more refined Jim Beam straight Bourbon, and has gone down quite well with long-time Beam lovers. Even the slightly higher ABV at 43% works because of how mellow this expression really is. There is spice and vanilla on the nose right off the bat, and you get caramel sweetness on the palate with a soft citrus influence. Very smooth, and an excellent sipping whiskey for people that truly love Jim Beam. For others, this isnt too bad to mix into a cocktail, or be enjoyed with a splash of water.

    The First Sale And Production

In 1795, Jacob Beam would begin selling his whiskey bourbon and it was this same year in which he made his first sale of Old Jake Beam Sour Mash. This was ironically only three years after Kentucky had officially become a state and once the town got a taste of what Jacob was distilling, they were hooked. One of the distinctive facts about Jacobs bourbon master distiller was that it was one of the most popular selections in an area that was already saturated with over 2,000 distilleries.

This was all right before the 1800s which is the time period in which bourbon whiskey production and consumption reached a new high. In 1820, Jacob Beam gave his distillery over to his son David Beam who would have to deal with the challenges of government regulations, taxation, and legalization which are all factors that his father didnt have to deal with during his time as a bourbon maker in the 1700s.

An interesting thing to note about the distribution of whiskey during this time is that it was nearly impossible to transport the barrels of finished liquid across the country like we do today. Because of this, people interested in getting their hands on some bourbon would have to go to the distillery themselves and fill up their bottles directly from the barrel.

Shortly after, the invention of steamboats and trains were being implemented into the society which allowed distillers to begin shipping their bourbon selections outside of state lines.

    Jim Beam Bourbon Whiskey

Jim Beam Vanilla Whiskey Bourbon review

Coke is simple, yet it is extraordinary in itself. It is one of the best ingredients you can have with your friends when they come home without informing. Mixing Jack Daniels and coke is the best whisky to mix with coke and the best you can offer to anyone.

Jim Beam is made by a family who started distilling in 1795. Seven generations on, they’ve become one of the biggest distillers in the world, producing a huge range of well-respected and award-winning whiskies. The first of the Beam family to become a distiller in Kentucky was Johannes Jacob Beam, who was born in 1770. Jacobs distillery was called Old Tub and his whiskey, known as Old Jake Beam, was introduced in 1795. Remarkably, seven generations later, the business is still operated by Jacob Beams descendants, although ownership has now passed to Fortune Brands.

Jim Beam White Label Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Mixed Drinks With Jim Beam Bourbon Whiskey. Jim Beam ...

The Jim Beam White Label is the flagship Jim Beam, and it has been the companys bestselling expression for many years. Jim Beam claim they continue to make the White Label using the same formula they have been using since the inception of the brand in 1795. Although the formula remains a secret, Jim Beam does have to meet the standards to qualify as a straight Bourbon whiskey. This requires it to be distilled from a mash bill that contains at least 51% Corn, and to be matured in new American Oak barrels. Jim Beam opts to mature their spirit in charred new Oak barrels for up to four years.

There is also Rye and malted Barley that go into the mash bill, the proportions of which havent been divulged for obvious reasons. This is a reliable budget Bourbon whiskey, and a bottle that most people wouldnt mind having around for a daily dram. There is an acetone profile all over, yet it isnt too harsh since the sweetness from Corn is present, and so is the smoky caramelized Oak. This is accompanied by flavours of creamy vanilla and spicy white pepper, and a faintly sweet finish. Not the bottle that could knock your socks off, but it is just good enough.
