With barely any money, the maker decided to perfect tequila production. He asked for a sizeable loan from a local businessman. The businessman agreed, and gave the money. After this, the first tequila bottles were made.
Don Julio was the maker of Super Premium
This brand is responsible for introducing many standards to the tequila industry. In addition, the bottles he made set the standard for what later would become Super premium.

When 17-year-old Julio Gonzalez-Frausto Estrada started producing his own tequila, he was frustrated that he couldnt see his friends over the tall, sleek bottles that the spirit was usually served in. This is all my time favorite tequila bottle. I drink it when im partying, or when im alone and want to sip something. Its expensive, but its worth the price. Its so smooth. The bottle is gorgeous. I recommend this to all tequila drinkers. I also recommend putting it in the freezer at least 6 hours before you drink it.

Now, you all know that Ive stated time and again that true tequilas are 100% blue agave and are unaged. And by unaged I mean that the tequila has spent zero time in a barrel.
But as with all things, there are exceptions. I do like my Margaritas made with Silver/Blanco tequila and I do enjoy sipping Plantinum/Plata tequilas, but: Añejo tequilas are just tasty. While they do, in my opinion, try too hard to be like Bourbon , thats not necessarily a bad thing.
Lets Not Mince Words: Don Julio 1942 may be expensive, but oh man is it fantastic!
There arent too many tequilas that sit in Don Julio 1942s price point. There are several just below and a few just above, and they are all truly awesome. So, me calling 1942 fantastic is to be expected. And seriously, at its $100 price point, it *better* be fantastic.
