Brandi Carlile Extends Her ‘beyond These Silent Days’ Tour Adds Fiserv Forum Show In Milwaukee

Brandi Carlile first played Milwaukee clubs like Shank Hall and the Rave about two decades ago.

In 2022, she’s ready to play the city’s biggest indoor venue, Fiserv Forum.

The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter will play the Milwaukee Bucks’ arena Aug. 5, a newly added date to her “Beyond These Silent Days” tour, with Lake Street Dive opening.

Tickets for the show, presented by Milwaukee’s Pabst Theater Group, go on sale at 11 a.m. Feb. 25 at the box office and through Ticketmaster. Presales begin at 10 a.m. Feb. 22 at brandicarlile.com. Presales begin at noon Thursday.

Carlile last played Milwaukee in 2019 at Summerfest, the same year a breakout Grammy Awards performance, and Best Americana album Grammy win for her 2018 release “By The Way, I Forgive You,” ushered in greater recognition, and bigger shows, for the veteran artist.

In September 2019, she appeared on the debut album for supergroup the Highwomen with Maren Morris, Amanda Shires and Natalie Hemby, followed by her seventh solo studio album “In These Silent Days,” released last October. Carlile is up for five Grammy nominations in April, including record of the year for the single “Right on Time,” and song of the year nominations for “Time” and her Alicia Keys collaboration “A Beautiful Noise.”

Tickets to see Brandi Carlile at Berkeley’s Greek Theatre on June 18 are available now through StubHub.

Between dropping a new album, publishing a No. 1 New York Times best-selling memoir, and becoming Billboard’s 2022 Pride Issue cover star, Brandi Carlile has been busy. And shes showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon: The Americana artist kicked off her summer tour this June and is headed to the Bay Area.

The Washington folk-rocker is bringing her Beyond These Silent Days tour to Berkeleys Greek Theatre June 18 for a night of genre-transcending music. The tour is in support of her eighth studio album, In These Silent Days, which dropped in 2021.

If you dont know exactly what category Carliles music falls under, youre not alone: The decorated artists rich catalog of songs spans country, pop, Americana, folk, alternative rock and roots. Thats part of Carliles inimitable magic she can rile up a crowd with a turbulent alt-country jammer like Broken Horses one moment, then induce tears the next with an emotive folksy acoustic tune such as This Time Tomorrow.

With a 20-year music career under her belt, Carlile knows how to sell out a show. Thus far on tour Carlile has traversed her discography, playing roughly 25 songs from albums like The Story and The Firewatchers Daughter as well as introducing fans to music from her latest album. Concertgoers can expect to hear a stack of heartfelt tracks that stylistically each stand on their own.

Songs From The Bromley House And Band Formation

Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig first met in 2005 as students at Berklee College of Music and began performing together. In 2007, they founded Lucius after moving to Ditmas Park, Brooklyn to pursue a musical career. The two lived in an old Victorian mansion which had a 60-year-old recording studio and vintage pianos inside.

In 2009, Wolfe and Laessig self-released Songs from the Bromley House, a biographical ode to the house and the experiences that they had in their Brooklyn home. During this period, they were joined by producer Doug Wamble. The band made a one-time pressing CD of the album and has not released the album since.

Shortly after the release of Songs from the Bromley House, Wolfe and Laessig connected with Dan Molad. By 2010, the three were collaborating on future Lucius music. During this period, Pete Lalish was introduced by Molad, and the two soon joined Lucius, making it a four-piece. About a year later, Molad met singer and guitarist Andy Burri who was invited to join the band. Following this, in 2011, most of the music the band had already made together was re-recorded and later released as their debut EP.
