Her second album, The Story, was produced by T Bone Burnett. It includes a collaboration with the Indigo Girls on “Cannonball”. The album was recorded in an 11-day session with Carlile, the Hanseroths, and drummer Matt Chamberlain to capture the raw intensity of Carlile’s live performances. The crack in Carlile’s vocals during the title track, “The Story”, came out by accident and was a direct result of the way the album was recorded. “The Story” was featured heavily in General Motors commercials during the 2008 Summer Olympics, leading to increased exposure to her music. In response to the advertisement, album sales increased 368 percent from 1,323 to 6,198. Sales for the lead single, “The Story”, increased in downloads of 28,091 copies.”The Story” peaked at No. 5 on the iTunes Music Store’s most-purchased list. The song was also used in the 2008 commercial for Super Bock and helped the song reach No. 1 and the album reach No. 4 on the Portuguese charts. “The Story” was featured on the end credits of the romantic drama film The Lucky One. The album has sold more than 257,776 copies in the US and peaked at No. 41 on the Billboard 200 and No. 10 on the US Rock Albums chart.
Music critic Stephen Thomas Erlewine praised Carlile for The Story saying, “The roiling collection fulfills the promise of her remarkable debut, offering resounding confirmation that Carlile is a singular talent.”

On the heels of her appearance on Saturday Night Live, Brandi Carlile has announced a series of high-profile headlining concerts in 2022.
In support of her latest album, In These Silent Days, Carlile will play shows at the Gorge Amphitheatre in George, WA the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles TD Garden in Boston and Madison Square Garden in New York City. Shell also play two nights each at Nashvilles Ascend Amphitheatre and Red Rocks in Morrison, CO. Check out the full itinerary below.
Over the course of her tour, Carlile will be joined by a rotating cast of opening acts, including Brittany Howard, Lucius, Indigo Girls, and Allison Russell, among others.

Brandi Carliles latest LP, By the Way, I Forgive You, garnered widespread commercial and critical acclaim, and is among the finalists in the running for Best Album at this weekends Grammy Awards. Beginning in April, the veteran singer-songwriter will take the album out on the road for a series of high-profile dates and festival appearances.
Brandi Carlile will continue her extensive tour through 2020 including a special debut headline performance at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on September 14. Additional stops include Chicago’s Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island, St. Paul’s Minnesota State Fair, Philadelphia’s The Mann and Berkeley’s The Greek Theatre at UC Berkeley among others. The first of the new dates will take place at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland on June 14. Next comes a visit to Chicago on June 29. From there, the late-summer portion of the jaunt includes two nights at Edgefield Amphitheatre in Troutdale, Oregon August 23 and 24. Brandi then heads to St. Paul for a performance at the Minnesota State Fair on August 31. Carlile will play The Mann in Philadelphia on September 6 ahead of her show at MSG on September 14. The final date announced today is a concert at The Greek in Berkeley, California on September 21.

Brandi Carlile has announced some new headline dates on her Beyond These Silent Days Tour, which will launch in 2022. Special guests on the tour include Ani DeFranco, Brittany Howard, Celisse, Indigo Girls, Lake Street Dive, Lucius, Sarah McLachlan and Allison Russell.
Stops on the tour include Washingtons Gorge Amphitheater on June 11, Los Angeles The Greek Theatre on June 24, Nashvilles Ascend Amphitheater on July 8-9, Chicagos Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island on August 6, D.C.s Merriweather Post Pavilion on Aug. 18, Colorados Red Rocks Amphitheater on Sept. 9-10, Bostons TD Garden on Oct. 21, and New Yorks Madison Square Garden on Oct. 22.
Pre-sale will begin Thursday, Oct. 28 at 10 a.m. local time with general on-sale following Friday, Oct. 29 at 10 a.m. local time. Citi is the official card of the tour and Citi cardmembers will have access to purchase pre-sale tickets beginning Tuesday, Oct. 26-28 through Citi Entertainment.

The Beyond These Silent Days Tour picks up June 11 at the famed Gorge Amphitheatre in Washington, followed by stops in Los Angeles, Nashville and St. Paul. Additional stops include LA’s Greek Theatre, Boston’s TD Garden and New York’s Madison Square Garden, where the trek wraps up on Oct. 22.
Openers at select shows will include Sarah McLachlan, Lucius, Indigo Girls, Celisse, Ani DeFranco, Allison Russell and Brittany Howard.
