Pineapple Infused Vodka Recipe
750 Ml Bottle of VodkaGlass jar with a lid
Cut the fruit into smaller chunks and put in a glass jar. Pour the vodka over the fruit so that the fruit is covered. Put the lid on the jar and let the mixture set for a few days. I let mine set for one week.
Once you are done letting your mixture steep, pour the vodka into another container. . I saved the bottle the vodka came in and poured it back into that. You can save the fruit for a garnish, however, we bit into one of our pineapple pieces at the end of the process and it was really potent!
My pineapple yielded about three cups of chopped fruit. The 750 ML bottle of vodka was equal to about three cups. The glass jar I used was really much bigger than I needed and Im guessing you could probably simply use a quart canning jar for these same amount of ingredients.
So now what do you do with it?As much fun as it was to make my own infused vodka, I must admit that Im not much of a vodka drinker and so I didnt have a favorite cocktail recipe all ready to go. But Hubby and I still had fun trying out the following three ideas we came up with:
First Try: One shot of Pineapple Vodka over ice with nothing else added. This was a bit too strong. Maybe it was the cheapo Five Oclock brand that I used. We decided we better mix it with something else.
OK, but I still think that sounds like a pretty good drink idea.
Does Infused Vodka Need To Be Refrigerated
Is the infused vodka required dka need to be refrigerated? If you are going to refrigerate, it wont hurt, but its not absolutely necessary. Bacteria cannot flourish in an atmosphere of alcohol-sanitized ingredients. The vodka should be refrigerated if the contents are not completely submerged in the alcohol, such as a twig of a herb.
Best Pineapple Vodka Cocktails Recipes
Vodka lovers, look no further than this drink, essentially a creamy Piña Colada with vodka instead of rum, to satisfy your tropical-cocktail cravings. The pineapple comes in two forms: dried-pineapple-infused vodka and pineapple puree. Those are then combined with cream of coconut and heavy cream before taking a spin through the blender with ice.
You can create your own tropical libation in just a couple of minutes with this simple concoction! Typically, I prefer rum over vodka, but this Mango Pineapple vodka by SVEDKA is so fruity and delicious, that I just couldn’t resist using it in a cocktail recipe. For the mixer, I used this Mango Tropical flavored water that I picked up at ALDI.
Vodka infusions also make for pretty party décor, sweet kitchen counter accents and thoughtful gifts. And when you’re sipping an artisanal homemade cocktail outside on a warm evening, you’ll know that summer has officially arrived. Cheers to the seven infused vodka recipes below.

Choose Your Liquor And Flavorings
The first and most obvious step is to choose your infusion. Most common liquors, like vodka, tequila, rum, whiskey and gin, are all great choices. More complex liquors, like mezcal, aren’t as easy to work with.
Vodka is my favorite option – it’s essentially a blank canvas that can take on any flavor combination. If you’re not a fan of vodka, tequila and rum are easy to start with, too.
When it comes to choosing flavors to infuse, think about your favorite cocktails involving that liquor. Rum, for example, is often used with tropical flavors like pineapple, mango, guava, etc. Whiskey, on the other hand, often calls for warmer flavors like cinnamon, anise, orange and vanilla.
You can infuse liquor with just about anything – fresh fruit, herbs, spices, dried fruit, and anything else your heart desires. It’s best to stick with just a few complementary flavors – don’t overdo it with too many ingredients. Here’s a breakdown of the ingredients we used in these infusions:
- Vodka + Fresh strawberries + Vanilla Bean
- Tequila + Jalapeño + Lime
- Strawberry Vanilla Bean Vodka
- Pineapple Rum
It doesn’t have to be complicated. The pineapple infused rum is actually my favorite – it’s SO good in tropical cocktails!
Homemade Pineapple Vodka Recipe ~ Cooks With Cocktails
Ingredients. 1 whole pineapple, sliced 1 vodka 1 3 cup sugar Instructions. Combine ingredients in glass container with a tight fitting lid. Let rest for 48 hours.
Vodka infusions are the most common and other light liquors can be used as well. Infusing darker spirits is a little trickier but it will work if you choose the right flavor to complement the liquor. Apricot or cherry brandy and coffee-infused whiskey are great examples that are very useful in cocktails.

Why We Make Our Own Pineapple
Making your own pineapple-infused vodka is easy and rewarding if you are a lover of cocktails. I’m not suggesting that anyone actually make vodka. I guess you could, but I don’t know howand I believe it is illegal in most states. However, what I do know how to do is turn a bottle of plain old vodka into yummy pineapple-infused vodka.
My husband and I, along with another couple, have a long-standing tradition of splurging on a trip to Del Frisco’s once a year for steaks and drinks. We usually order a great red wine with dinner, but before dinner, at the bar, we enjoy experimenting with the fun cocktails the bartender whips up for us. During our last Del Frisco’s excursion, the bartender made us some fabulous pineapple-flavored drinks that we loved. We just had to get the recipe. My husband got to chatting with the bartender, and he explained that the drinks were simply pineapple-infused vodka shaken with ice and served martini-style. He showed us his huge jar of pineapple that was sitting in vodka, steeping, as the sweet, tropical flavor of the pineapple became infused in the vodka.
These Drinks Can Be Dangerously Delicious
Drinks made with pineapple vodka are fruity, fun, and fashionable. This sweet yellow fruit gives drinks that tropical taste that whisks you back to your favorite vacation spot, while the vodka packs plenty of punch. These drinks can be deceptively delicious because you can’t really taste the alcohol, so take care when enjoying this liquor. Remember that many of these cocktails, for example, the basic pineapple martini, are close to being straight vodka. Hand your car keys to the hostess, pace yourself, keep careful count of how many drinks you’ve had, and never, ever drink and drive.

Can You Eat Pineapple From Infused Vodka
During the soaking process, some of the vodka soaks into the pineapple and ends up being lost. Although you can eat pineapple, it is not necessarily recommended. After 2 weeks, it doesnt look very appealing, and one piece is probably like taking a shot! The vodka must be drained and put into a pitcher or carafe after it has been sitting at room temperature for 12-14 days.
Does Jalapeno Infused Tequila Go Bad
The jar may be swirled/shaken once per day if desired. When you are finished with the 3-to-4 days, strain the tequila through a fine mesh strainer to get rid of the jalapeno seeds and pieces. Tequila is meant to be stored in a jar or bottle after it has been infused. Use within one year after storing in the refrigerator.

Making Pineapple Vodka: Its So Easy
It might be borderline dangerous that Stoli Doli is every bit as easy to make as it is easy to drink.
I definitely recommend making your pineapple vodka with the best fresh pineapple you can find, though. Using a super sweet pineapple will make all the difference for the final drink.
Infusing the vodka in a container with a spigot, such as a large drink dispenser, will also make it easier to transfer the Stoli Doli to bottles later.
Just cut the pineapple into chunks and pour the vodka over it. I let mine infuse at room temperature for 12-14 days before straining it and pouring it into bottles.
Pro-tip: Dont save the pineapple after infusing! All of the flavor is gone, so just discard it. Ask me how I know
While The Capital Grille serves theirs straight up in a martini glass, I often serve it on over ice in a rocks glass. If the Stoli Doli is too strong for you as-is, you can also add in a splash of pineapple juice to temper it a bit.
Whether youre looking for a cocktail to beat the summer heat or youve been nominated to bring beverages to your next cookout, Im fairly certain the Stoli Doli will be a huge hit!
Just be forewarned and drink responsibly! These seemingly sweet and unassuming cocktails can pack a pretty big punch!
How To Make Infused Liquors
DIY Infused Liquors make for a fantastic holiday gift for a host/hostess, friend, family member or really any other adult in your life. In this post, we’ll teach you how to make a few different infused liquors. We’re also sharing some of our favorite flavor infusions for vodka, tequila, rum & more.
Over the last few years, we’ve gotten really into mixology and craft cocktails. We love experimenting with different liquors, simple syrups, fruits, bitters, etc.
If you know our family IRL, we pretty much always have company. My parents have hosted countless full-blown, 60+ person parties, smaller dinner parties, holidays, and hundreds of weekend get-togethers. After hosting so many events, we’ve gotten pretty good at throwing together cocktails with whatever we have on hand.
In more recent years, we’ve gotten extra ~fancy~ and started experimenting with infusing various liquors and simple syrups. For my wedding last year, we made huge batches of homemade infused vodka and tequila for my signature cocktails. They were a huge hit – some of my friends were even taking straight-up shots of the jalapeño infused tequila!
In addition to majorly improving just about any cocktail, homemade infused liquors also make for a great DIY holiday gift. Any host/hostess, family member, friend or coworker will surely appreciate the originality and effort!

How Long Should I Infuse Liquor
Again, this really depends on the ingredients/type of liquor.
For something like strawberry infused vodka, you can leave it to infuse for up to a week. In fact, the longer you infuse it, the better it will taste! Last year when we made it for the wedding, we ended up leaving it for about a week and it smelled more like syrup than vodka. So good!
For something like jalapeño infused tequila, however, less than 24 hours will do the trick. In fact, if you’re heat-sensitive, 10-12 hours is plenty. We use this same rule of thumb for infusions made with lots of herbs or spices.
If you’re not sure, open the jar after 24-48 hours and give it a smell. If it’s very fragrant from the infusion, it’s probably good to go. If not, let it infuse for another day or two and check again. As a general rule of thumb, 3-5 days is the perfect amount for most infusions.
And don’t worry – even if you’re using fresh fruit, you don’t have to worry about anything going bad. The alcohol prevents any mold from growing on the fruit, so even after you strain it, you can keep it for years.
How To Make Pineapple Infused Vodka
One night we went to the The Capital Grille for dinner. This, my friends, is where we discovered Pineapple Infused Vodka. It is also the place where our dinner bill came to over $500 for the four of us. It was worth it. We knew going in that we had no limits. I ordered lobster, we had lobster mac & cheese as a side…. a bottle of good wine. Everything was amazing. However let me back up.
We arrived and sat in the bar as we waited for our table. The four of us were trying to decide on a martini when the bartender suggested their house infused pineapple vodka and while I love fresh pineapple I’m not really a fan of pineapple flavored things so we all politely declined and ordered cosmopolitans. As we were nearly finished with our cosmos the bartender decided to pour the four of us as well as another couple at the bar a sample of the Pineapple Vodka. Amid our conversation we all casually took a sip and I swear to god every single one of us all stopped and with surprised looks exclaimed OMG! this stuff is amazing! We all then bombarded the bartender with questions “what exactly is this? How is it made? Can I have a full one now please?” it was that good. I can’t even explain it’s just amazing it’s got a very fresh sweetness not sugary sweet like pineapple juice or sweetened cocktails just fresh fresh fresh and yummy and fresh… and oh so dangerous! It’s easy for one to forget that it’s straight vodka since it lacks any evidence of the taste of vodka.

What Is A Stoli Doli
This drink is basically Stolichnaya vodka that is poured over sliced, fresh Dole pineapple hence the Stoli Doli name. Our server said to place the pineapple in a jug, pour a bottle of vodka over it to cover the pineapple, and then let it sit for about 12 days.
The infused vodka is then shaken with ice and served straight-up in a martini glass. The resulting cocktail is sweet, full of flavor and goes down easy.
Coffee & Coffee Vanilla
This infusion was probably my favorite. It can be served in a whole bunch of fun cocktails but its also delicious on its own over ice . It also makes a really nice dark brown color that you dont often see in vodka.
The coffee infusion after 1, 3, and 5 days. 3 days is ideal, in my opinion. On day 5, it tasted a bit too strong.
You dont actually want to use an expensive, small-batch coffee for this. I read from multiple sources that even cheaper coffees tend to convey the same sorts of flavors. You especially dont want anything thats a light roast the flavors arent quite bold enough to come through as a pure coffee flavor in the vodka. Get yourself either a whole bean espresso or dark roast.
After straining, pour your finished products into these handsome 375ml bottles, and give out as fun, easy, and inexpensive DIY gifts.
