Kendall revealed that 818 has already scooped a number of awards such as Best Reposado Tequila at the World Tequila Awards and the Chairmans Trophy at the Ultimate Spirits Challenge.

There are three different types in her collection: añejo, reposado and blanco.
Her reposado tequila, meaning rested in Spanish, has rested anywhere from two months to a year before it is bottled. Reposados take on the gold hue from the barrels in which they are aged.
But, añejo tequila is, by definition, aged at least a year and up to three in oak barrels, bringing out a rounder texture and sweeter flavors.
According to panelists at the Ultimate Spirits Challenge, 818’s añejo tequila has “earthy aromas of pine and yellow fruits mix with vanilla. Sweet on the palate with brown sugar, vanilla syrup, spicy cinnamon, the rich texture coats the palate. Hints of roasted agave come through on the long spicy-sweet finish.”

First off, if youre outside of California, youre going to have to wait. The new agave offering is only selling in the Golden State for the time being. Throughout 2021, Southern Glazers, who nabbed the distribution deal, will be rolling the tequila out through the United States. Theres been no word yet on when the United Kingdom, Europe, Asia, or Australia will receive the spirits.
As for those who happen to be in California, the first place to check is the official 818 Tequila website. However, if it happens to be sold out there, you might want to give a call to your local BevMo, Target, Total Wine and More, or Ralphs. If you happen to be in Los Angeles and are looking to buy it from a local purveyor, Mel and Rose on Melrose might be your best option.

I don’t often spend a lot on alcohol, and I certainly am not someone who keeps a fully-stocked bar cart at home, but I do enjoy tequila, and Casamigos is something I splurge on.
