This recipe is written as a “small batch” cocktail, meaning that for the ingredients listed, it only makes one cocktail. However, the blueberry simple syrup recipe makes enough for about 6 cocktails, so it’s easy to make this drink into a pitcher cocktail.

The great thing about vodka is that it pairs well with any type of fruit and because it has no color your drink takes on the beautiful hue of your fruit.

Be sure all of your ingredients are cold before you start. I keep my vodka in the freezer, so my drinks are always icy cold!

• Start with plenty of ice in a cocktail shaker
• Add vodka, blueberry simple syrup, and soda or sparkling water
• Shake well and strain into a glass
• Garnish with extra blueberries and a squeeze of lemon if desired

This post is inspired by our home reception and the joy our guests had sipping on the Red, White and Berry cocktails we created. Ive been eagerly waiting for the weather to warm up so I could start thinking up new cocktails to enjoy during the summer months. Luckily for me, Smirnoff has beaten me to the punch with two cocktail recipes right in time for Memorial Day weekend, courtesy of Megan Marlowe, from The Strawberry Blondie Kitchen. Lemon Blueberry Vodka Spritzer

First, mix up a batch of honey simple syrup. Making simple syrups is my favorite way to add my own touch to traditional cocktails and honey simple syrup is my #1 go-to.

It is so easy to make just combine 1 part water and 1 part honey in a small pan over low heat until the honey dissolves and a syrup is created. Let it cool and it is ready to be added to your drinks.

Next, add a dash of fruity fun with blueberry vodka. You can infuse your own if you have time or find it at the store. I usually buy mine and keep it on hand.

Combine the honey simple syrup, blueberry vodka and some ice in a shaker to chill it and strain everything into a glass filled with ice.

Top this sweet fruity combo with sparkling water.

I used the lemon flavored sparkling water for this drink but you could also try the lime, berry or blackberry flavors. If you want to offer your guests a little variety, buy one of each flavor and let your guests choose which flavor they want.

Garnish your drinks with lemon slices, fresh blueberries and a sprig of rosemary for a fun holiday touch.

No, it is not bad. Mixing vodka and soda is being done and served around the world. So if you are in a restaurant, you can get vodka with a soda in it.

And even at the comfort of your home, you can mix vodka and soda. It would help if you had a recipe. A recipe is essential because if you have not tried making one before, you might mess up, and you will not like the taste of your finished product.

This is why it is essential to have a recipe. However, if you like to experiment and mix them independently, you can always do that. That would be better because you can be able to decide which flavor you want.

However, there is a saying that mixing alcohol and soda can make you even drunker. A recent study stated that a mix of liquor with a sugar mixer could make some people drunker than usual. In addition, the study said that a mixture of sugar and alcohol could increase a persons BRaC or breath alcohol concentrations.

The reason is that the time in which the alcohol will be absorbed from our stomach to our bloodstream will take longer than usual. So with this, one study concluded that you could get more easily drunk if you mix a soda in your vodka.
