Bacardi Rum Mojito Tips
This Bacardi Rum Mojito recipe is easy to make at home, ready to serve in under 10 minutes.
We love serving our Bacardi Mojito on hot days in the summer at family barbecues, cottage happy hour and on a sun-soaked patio.
When preparing a traditional mojito, fresh lime juice is added to sugar and mint leaves. The mixture is then gently mashed with a muddler. The mint leaves should only be bruised to release the essential oils and should not be shredded or sliced.
Then rum is added and the mixture is briefly stirred to dissolve the sugar and to lift the mint leaves up from the bottom for better presentation. Finally, the drink is topped with ice and soda water. Mint leaves and lime wedges are used to garnish the glass.
Our Bacardi Mojito recipe below is listed for one person. If youre hosting a large gathering feel free to multiply the ingredients by the number of guests and muddle the drink in a punch bowl or jug rather than a cocktail shaker.
Serve the drink in a highball or collins glass with whole ice cubes or crushed ice.

Premixed cocktails are usually a mixed bag. In fact, theyre hardly cocktails at all but rather heavily carbonated malt liquor, watered down to about 6 or 8 percent alcohol and flavored with a variety of components that can be either reasonably tasty or very nasty.
Bacardi offers something new with the Bacardi Classic Cocktail Mojito, a pre-mixed cocktail that continues to build on the Mojito craze, the drink that simply will not die.
Thankfully, this is something new. Bacardi Classic Cocktail Mojito is 15 percent alcohol and made from real rum and natural flavors, not leftover King Cobra.
The taste is surprisingly good, with real rum, lime, and mint present all in the glass. The sugar flavor is a little off, tasting more saccharine than it should, but overall its quite pleasant. Note that the drink is not carbonated , so you might want to add a little if you need fizz but then youll probably want to add rum too, to compensate.
This would be a fine item to serve at a party when you dont have time to make fresh cocktails and guests arent expecting the world out of you. Just pour it over crushed ice and add some fresh mint and maybe a squeeze of fresh lime most people wont know the difference.

This homemade Bacardi Mojito cocktail is made with fresh and healthy ingredients.
- Rum: we suggest using Bacardi Anejo, Bacardi Superior or Bacardi Spiced.
- Lime Juice: only use freshly squeezed lime juice. You can taste the difference when someone incorrectly muddles cocktails with store bought citrus juice.
