Peach And Bourbon Smash
Some people like their drinks purely liquid, but others want the adventurous route and opt to have some attitude to their drink. The peach and bourbon smash stays true to its name. It is not strained so you can still have bits of fresh peaches in your drink. On top of that is some ginger beer to add a little bit of kick to the drink.
Ingredients:
Peach Bourbon Sour Faqs
Do I have to use a cocktail shaker to make the whiskey sour?
No. You can add all the ingredients to an old fashioned glass, filled with ice and give it a good stir. I prefer the shaker because the simple syrup can tend to be thick and it blends more completely when shaken, but Im not the food police and if you dont mind a little settling at the bottom, then who am I to say no?
Can I make a bourbon sour with a different flavor simple syrup?
You can. It wont be a peach bourbon sour, of course, but thats ok. Try it with these infused simple syrups as well: Guava Vanilla Simple Syrup, Rhubarb Ginger, Simple Syrup, Honey Thyme Simple Syrup, Passion Fruit Syrup
Can I make this drink in a pitcher?
Theoretically, yes. Instead multiply the measurements of the ingredients by how many drinks you want and assemble them in a pitcher. Refrigerate to chill. To serve: add ice to the glasses and pour in the drink. Have garnishes available in a separate bowl.
Best Way To Mix Whisky And Coke
Mixing one part of Whisky to three oz of coke is the best you can drinksome like intense whisky, and some like it to drink it in its standard ratio. To adjust the flavor of these two drinks, try using a mixer in the form of lemonade, ginger ale, lemon, sugar cubes, and more.
However, the two combinations in their pure form are the most popular drinks available anywhere. When cherries are available, the best way to mix Whisky and coke is by making cherry coke whisky mash. Try making it with Crown Royal.
- Take 4 ounces of Crown royal.
- 1.5 cup pitted cherries.
- 3 tsp of sugar.
- Twelve ounces of coke, you can use diet coke if you want to lessen the sugar content.
- ½ a lemon and mint leave for garnishing.
Recipe
- Take a shaker, add sugar and pitted cherries. Muddle it together and squeeze half a lemon.
- Add crown royal and shake everything well.
- In a glass, add ice cubes and strain the above mix into the glass.
- Garnish with fresh mint leaves.
You can also try this cocktail with Rye bourbon or any bourbon of your choice. It is a perfect cocktail for any occasion, and mostly it is a females drink. Women will love it.
Prepare it for womens day or mothers day. Surprise your wife, mother, or sister with this fantastic cocktail. The sweet taste of cherries and the smoky taste of Whisky will make them fall in love with the drink.

Bachelor On The Cheap
06/08/2019
Blended and flavored whiskeys are red hot right now, consumer demand for brown spirits continues to rise with American Whiskey in particular seeing some phenomenal sales growth.
Regular readers know that I am a fan of flavored whiskey, I’ve always got a bottle of something in my freezer for a chilled shot or flavored specialty in the liquor cabinet to enjoy on the rocks. My favorite in all this tasting fun so far, has been Yukon Jack Jacapple.
Today’s tasting: Jim Beam Peach Whiskey
I’ve sampled Jim Beam Apple, Jim Beam Red Stag, Jim Beam Honey and Jim Beam Maple. Of the Jim Beam lot, my favorite so far has been the apple, with the others not really being repeat buys.
The description from the bottle: Jim Beam Peach contains all the pride of the Beam family’s 220-year history with a refreshing take on family tradition. Our distillers have infused rich, flavorful peach liqueur with fine Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey. The perfect mix of peach and bourbon with hints of oak. Enjoy straight, or mix with soda or tea.
So how good is it you ask?
Jim Beam Peach Whiskey gets 3 out of 5 Bachelor on the Cheap stars. It’s an OK flavored whiskey, but peach just doesn’t go well with whiskey in my book. Priced at about $17 for a 750ml bottle, Jim Beam Peach is NOT a repeat buy.

How To Make A Peach Bourbon Sour
You may wonder if you really need a garnish to drink a whiskey sour and I have to be honest, when its just me and my husband relaxing on the couch, Im much less prissy than when Im blogging for you I just want my peachy bourbon cocktail.
However, if weve got company, Im much more inclined to embellish the drinks. Just to make it more interesting and lets be honest, Ive got a reputation to uphold.
Picking The Right Ice
Did you know that ice is an important ingredient in a cocktail? Not just that its there, but the type of ice you use can affect the quality, integrity and flavor of the drink.
Crushed ice is the ideal ice to use for smashes and mint juleps because they are designed to be served in warm climates and use concentrated simple syrup. Crushed ice thins out the sweet syrup and provides the right amount of dilution for the drink without watering it down and also while still keeping it cold.
You can easily make crushed ice at home in a blender or with a mallet and a Lewis bag .
That being said, if you dont have crushed ice at home, dont worry! Any type of ice will really do, even though crushed is preferred.

How To Make The Crown Royal Peach Beach Drink
Grab a cocktail glass lets mix this drink!
Step 1: Pour one shot of Crown Peach into your glass. If you like your drinks a little stronger, add an extra 1/2 shot.
Step 2: Add in two shots of Pineapple Juice and 1.5 shots of Orange Juice.
Step 3: Add approximately 1 teaspoon of Grenadine. If youre concerned the Grenadine will make your drink too sweet for your tastes, skip it altogether. The fruit juices are plenty sweet and the Grenadine just adds more sweetness.
Step 4: Fill your glass with ice leaving a little room at the top.
Step 5: Top off with 7up for the added bubbly fizz and a light lemon-lime addition.
Step 6: Add pineapple chunks, pineapple slices and/or a peach slice for garnish.
Of course, if you have a drink umbrella, add it to make it really feel like a beach drink!
What Makes A Drink A Smash Cocktail
One of the reasons I love this classic cocktail is because there are no hard and fast rules when it comes to a smash. I love how it can be easily adapted to the ingredients you have on hand, the flavors that you love, and the season that youre in.
A smash cocktail is actually a super simple cocktail, so lets start with the basics:
- a base spirit
- ice
- a splash of water
- mint or other herb
- sugar
- seasonal fruit
Its a great drink because as long as you have the basics, you have a smash.
From there, you can choose-your-own-adventure. The adventure starts with picking spirit base or the liquor
Youll want to make your drink with ice to make it cool and refreshing, but you can choose to pour over fresh ice or strain it out.
When it comes to the seasonal fruit, you can muddle it, infuse it in a simple syrup, or simply use it as a garnish.
I usually like to include some fresh lemon juice for additional acidity and brightness, mint or basil, and finish my cocktail off with a splash of ginger beer.

Does Coke Go Well With Bourbon Whisky

Yes, bourbon and coke make a great combination, and together, the drink is flavorful and attracts the drinkers. But, one thing to remember is, not all Bourbons have the same spirits. All are different and produce different flavors that one may like and others will not.
Therefore, choose the bourbon that suits you and gives you the kick that you desire.

What If I Dont Have Fresh Peaches
Thats ok! I love making this drink in the spring and summer when we are in peak peach season in North Carolina, because in my opinion, there is nothing more delicious than a juicy ripe peach.
However, sometimes we just cant make fresh peaches work and so I have two substitution ideas for you if you cant get your hands on fresh peaches or the ones at the store or farmers market arent up to your standards.
You can also use canned peach slices or diced peaches or peach jam. If you are going to pick either of these options, I would definitely make a peach simple syrup and would not muddle the fruit or peach jam in a cocktail shaker because it would have a totally different and much sweeter than fresh peaches.

Best Garnish For Peach Bourbon Sour
I like to keep it pretty simple when adding garnish to a cocktail. except for maybe a bloody mary or bloody caesar, which mandates an over-the-top approach. Otherwise, I look for garnishes that emphasize what the cocktail is about. For a peach whiskey sour, I recommend:
- Peaches Just a slice of fruit to give an inkling of what the cocktail is about. Fix it on the rim, spear it with a pick or float in the cocktail. I like to peel the peach first, so its not fuzzy, but thats up to you.
- Lemons Either sliced in a wheel or in half or if youre feeling lazy a wedge thats easily squeezed to give the drink a little more pucker. It is a whiskey sour, after all The lemon slice reinforces whats in the drink.
- Cherries I know a cherry, maraschino or otherwise, has nothing to do with a bourbon sour and is more in line with a Manhattan, however, it can really dress up this spirited beverage.
Confession: Ive become addicted to the Amarena cherries from Trader Joes and its my go-to garnish for any whiskey sour. TJs only has them available at Christmas time, so as soon as I see them, Ill buy 3 or 4 jars to stock up until the next season.

A Wining Recipe For This Peach Pecan Spirit From Florida Georgia Line Band
The last thing you may think to consider putting into a whiskey drink are these ingredients, but hang with me here for a moment.
Because what I am going to tell you is an awesome cocktail, one that is not only refreshing but so surprisingly delicious you will be drinking them as if youre at the Worlds Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party.
Its main ingredient is Old Camp Peach Pecan Whiskey, a spirit from the Florida Georgia Line band.
Now if peach pecan whiskey sounds like a strange enough combination on its own, wait for the punch line: what I mix with it with to make this fantastic cocktail.
I use orange juice and cranberry juice. Yep, thats it, not a Coke , soda water, ginger ale or any of the typical mixes you normally associate with whiskey .
This is because I come from a rum background and the best rum cocktails are made with juices. I simply applied this principal to Old Camp and the results turned out to be fantastic.
The OJ, in fact, blends perfectly with the peach and pecan flavors. The cranberry helps smooth it out too much orange juice in a cocktail can be too acidic. Well, after a few of them and this is definitely a cocktail where you wont want to stop at just one. Or two for that matter.
This is a very refreshing, smooth drink that fits great if youre on a beach, a boat or at a raging house party at night. And especially at the football game on the Georgia-Florida line, the Worlds Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party.
Is Crown Peach Limited
No, as of April 2021 it is offered year-round.
For the last two years Peach Crown Royal has been hard to find. Its popularity coupled with limited production left many people unable to find it.
In 2021, Crown Royal mentioned in a comment on their Facebook page that Peach Crown will be offered all the time. This is fantastic news! I cant wait to make some new drinks with it this Fall.
