The sun is beating down every day. When I cook, the house turns into an oven. Going out at 7:30am for coffee is no longer a pleasant experience since its 70+ degrees and hot coffee is the last thing I need in life at that moment.
All I can say is thank goodness for AC. I just listened to a post-apocolyptic book about a world without AC and I literally cant even imagine if that was my reality. AH.
Thats where this lovely vodka lemonade comes into play. When its hot as hell outside and all I want to do is grill, I grab a jar full of this lovely raspberry vodka lemonade and kick back as the meat sizzles away.
I personally love to make this recipe and leave a pitcher of it in the refrigerator . You can sip on it all week and its so nice to just have there waiting for you at the end of a long day.
Alternatively this is the best cocktail to make for a large gathering!
I believe big batch cocktails are the best thing to make for parties , because its easy to make and easy to drink. Not to mention you can make a double batch to last all night long or just have the ingredients on hand to whip up another batch if you happen to run out.
Much safer to just make the double batch though Having leftovers is never a bad thing after all ð

How To Rim A Cocktail Glass
Place a few tablespoons of granulated sugar on a plate. Use a lemon wedge with a slit cut in the middle. Run it along the edge of the cocktail glass until the entire top is wet. Then dip the cocktail glass gently in to the sugar, rotating it as you go. So the whole rim is covered in sugar.
For a fun touch you can also use colored sugar if you cant find colored sugar, sprinkles work just fine.
Quick Tips For Juicing Lemons For Homemade Lemonade
- Dont juice a cold lemon. A cold lemon wont give as much juice as a room temperature one. If you keep your lemons in the fridge, let it come to room temperature, or pop it in the microwave for 20 seconds to get it to warm up.
- Roll the lemon on the countertop because this will bring the juices to the surface.
- Slice the lemon down the equator, not from the stem to the tip.
- Dont just squeeze it with your hands use a citrus reamer or a juicer to get that good juice out of it. Personally, I like a lemon reamer better.

After months of indulgence, I think everyone tries to cut back in January many deciding to forgo alcohol altogether during dry January. Instead of dry, I go light and this simple Raspberry Lime Vodka Soda enhanced with a fruity sparkling water adds a nice flavor boost while keeping calories low.
Our theme for this months Progressive Eats is Making Favorite Recipes Healthier. They only way to make a cocktail healthier would be to substitute the sugar and honestly, I would rather drink straight water than try to include an artificial ingredient for the one constant in most cocktailssugar. I decided instead to add something to a cocktail already low in sugar and make it a bit more special.
Im doing that by way of using a new favorite, Spindrift Sparkling Water. Its not a clear sparkling water with a hint of flavor, no, this brand adds real fruit juices to their sparkling water and it shows. Easy to source too I found them at Target.
The ones Ive used have varied from 6-8% juice in the 12 oz can, so its not heavy but it is discernible and best of all, the berry and mango choices have a beautiful color. Its the only reason Ive never found a plain Vodka Cocktail all that appealing it is so visually boring.

Were making my Fresh Squeezed Lemonade recipe, but Im going to break it down here for you, too. However, I have more tips and tricks in that post.
This recipe needs a cup of fresh juice, so itll take around 6-8 lemons, depending on the size of the fruit. Use a citrus reamer or juicer to juice the lemons, and strain the juice to remove any pulp or seeds.
Pour the fresh juice into a pitcher and add ½ cup of granulated sugar. Stir until the sugar has begun to dissolve.
Add 5 cups of water to the mixture, stirring constantly. When the sugar has dissolved completely, refrigerate until time to enjoy!
Shortcut: If youre not interested in making your own lemonade, purchase your favorite at the store.

What Drink Is Mixed With Uv Blue Vodka And Sprite
A cocktail that combines UV Blue Vodka and Sprite, or other lemon-lime soda, is a Blue Frost. Unless youve read my Japanese plum wine post, you would have thought this blog was alcohol-free. High five I would too, even as the sole creator of this blog and my own person. Its been a long hot week and I know just what you need: a cold and refreshing cocktail that isnt sugary. A drink that is made with delicious fruity flavor and a few bubbles. Let me mix you up a Raspberry Vodka Soda, its My Favorite Summer Cocktail.
The Raspberry Vodka Soda is a super easy-to-make cocktail that is refreshing and not sweet, or sugary but is full of raspberry flavor, and fresh citrusy lemon. It is an easy to drink cocktail, so you can have 2 or 3 and not feel like you just drank a candy bars worth of sugar.
A Raspberry Vodka Soda is made with a 1 part Smirnoff Raspberry Vodka, 2 or 3 parts Ozarka Lemon Sparkling Water, a squeeze of fresh lemon, and it you are feeling fancy- frozen or fresh raspberry garnish.
It tastes like a refreshing raspberry lemonade if you could take all the sugar out of that lemonade and only have the refreshing flavor of lemon and raspberry remaining! Perfect!

How To Make A Raspberry Vodka Tonic
Normally I show you an individual photo of the ingredients for a cocktail, however there are only 3 ingredients for this easy cocktail! Really only two if you don’t count the lime garnish!
You’ll need to get your raspberry vodka . Choose your favorite tonic water, this was our fist time trying Whole Foods and it was pretty good. Lime for a lime wheel garnish.
A tonic is built in glass over ice, so you don’t need a cocktail shaker. Add ice to a rock’s glass. Pour in 2 ounces of raspberry vodka.
Top with tonic water, it should be about 4 ounces. Stir to blend and garnish with a lime wedge.
That’s it! You’ve just made the easiest and oh so delicious vodka cocktail!! As a bonus, it’s a pretty pink cocktail, making it perfect for Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Easter, Bachelorette parties, or anytime you want a refreshing and pretty cocktail!
