âThe nice thing about the new Botanical vodka is that even though it is flavored, there is no added sugar, and because it has some flavor already, it may dissuade people from making a mixed drink which is where the extra calories come in,â Abbey Sharp, a Toronto-based RD and author of âAbbeyâs Kitchen,â told TODAY Food.
âThe real question is whether you want flavored vodka or not,â she added. âI dont see one as necessarily being âhealthierâ than the other, but rather, it really comes down to preference.â
As for how it stacks up to wine, a 5-ounce pour of white table wine has about 121 calories, according to the USDA nutrient database thatâs 40 percent more calories than a 1.5-ounce serving of the new Botanical vodka. A serving of wine also has about 3.8 grams of carbs but no fat.
Sipping wise, a 1.5-ounce shot doesnât last as long as a 5-ounce glass of wine, of course. Ketel One recommends adding 3 ounces of zero calorie sparkling water to 1.5 ounces of the spirit, in an ice-filled glass, and then topping it off with a piece of fresh fruit or herb as a garnish.
While Ketelâs flavors have unique floral elements, this isnât the first diet liquor line to come along SkinnyGirl, started by âReal Housewives of New Yorkâ star Bethenny Frankel, also has naturally flavored vodkas, which clock in at 75 calories per 1.5 ounces, and come in flavors like cherry and tangerine.

A few years ago, I started infusing my own vodka. These are the things I do in my spare time. I actually gave the homemade pineapple infused vodka to my staff at work as a holiday gift one year. They all loved it. It was really delicious!

You get a lot of mango and pineapple and it really is a great summery cocktail.

You have to have the foresight to make the vodka though! You really need at least 2 days for the pineapple to sit in the vodka, however, you can get away with one day if you are really pressed for time. The vodka is best if you can let it sit for about 4 days and dont let it sit for more than 5. You have less than a week to drink it once its done soaking. Ok lets shake up a cocktail!!
Vodka Soda Black Cherry Lime
This is the only flavor of Svedka Vodka Soda that’s not based on an existing vodka from the company. Everyone loves black cherry White Claw, so you can see why Svedka would want to capture some of those people with its own black cherry drink. Black Cherry Lime has the most calories and carbs of the three Svedka Vodka Sodas, with 186 calories and 7.9 grams of carbs.
Opinions on this canned cocktail are divided, with one satisfied customer on Target’s website saying “this drinks like an awesome summer cocktail, light refreshing and the right amount of flavor and fizz.” Another reviewer was less enthused, saying the drink lacked the proper amount of carbonation. There’s a chance that the second reviewer got a bad can, as other reviews of the product don’t mention carbonation issues. If you get a can with the right amount of bubbles, Black Cherry Lime will be a solid addition to your summer drinking rotation.

You need following ingredients to make this slushy,
Mango : You can either use frozen mango from the store or use fresh mango
Vodka : Use best vodka for making this slushy, one you like to drink.
Cointreau/ Triple sec: I have used triple sec here if you have Cointreau in hand use that.
Simple syrup : Make simple syrup with 1:1 sugar and water.
Mango Hard seltzer : I used White Claw Mango seltzer you can use your favorite one.
Ice: without this you can t makes any slushies.
Coconut : Sweetened coconut for garnish you can skip it if you dont want to use it .
Once you gathered all the ingredients it is easy to make using a powerful blender, I used my Kitchen Aid blender.
