Kors Vodka 24k George V Limited Edition $24500
Kors combines delicious vodka and history in its bottles. Each bottle is handmade out of crystal and its recipe is an ancient one ordered by Russias Czar Nicholas II. Its thought that the Czar created it as the perfect-tasting vodka using a complex method involving solid gold pipes and infusing it with diamonds. Its limited edition label comes from the fact that only 250 bottles of this vodka were ever released.
Old Facility Versus New Brand
Belvedere Vodka is relatively new compared to the facility it is distilled in. The building that houses the distillery is in a town called Polmos Zyrardów, Poland. Built in 1910, under communist rule, the facility produced a variety of products. At that time, it was called Distillery and Rectification of Spirit and Vodka. Belvedere Vodka began being produced in 1993 and is currently the only vodka in production at the facility.

Belvedere Is One Of Our Top Three Picks
If you’re a “I’m going to buy this vodka because I like the label” kind of person, then we’ll be surprised if you’ve never picked up a bottle of Belvedere before. The name itself just sounds fancy, and, as noted by Drizly, the vodka itself is excellent. Belvedere markets itself as the “true expression of luxury vodka,” and is the result of a 600-year vodka-making tradition originally from Poland. It is made with Polish Dankowski Rye and is distilled four times in order to “create the perfect balance of character and purity.” It also doesn’t have any added glycerin, sugar, or additives, so you know you’re getting the good stuff.
Belvedere is a fantastic choice as well, because it is not only great for sipping, but it makes the perfect martini . The only slight downside to Belvedere, as you may have guessed, is the cost. For a 1L bottle, you’re looking at dropping about $40, which isn’t exactly the most budget-friendly idea. But if you have a bit to spare, Belvedere is absolutely the right choice.
Which Vodkas Are Made From Grain
Popular grain vodkas include big names like Grey Goose, Smirnoff, Stolichnaya, and Ketel One. While many people think that Russian vodka is often potato-based, this is actually incorrect as the number of Russian potato vodkas on the market is close to zero. Potato vodka brands include Boyd & Blair and Woody Creek.

Vodka Can Be Complicated
Vodka, believe it or not, is tricky alcohol for those who are gluten-free.
Technically, you can see that the vodka is supposed to be distilled without the wheat-based gluten proteins.
Many people claim that these vodkas still contain gluten. This can make them feel sick and nauseated.
You should avoid vodkas made from wheat, even if they claim to remove gluten protein.
You can, however, still choose vodka that is not made from wheat, potato, corn, or grapes. These vodkas are usually approved for gluten-free consumption.

The new platform for the vodka brand aims to reinforce their nature-based philosophy.
One of the worlds leading brands of luxury vodka, Belvedere, has launched a new platform called Made With Nature. This platform seeks to establish the vodkas natural roots, having been made completely of Polska rye.
Belvedere uses 100% Polska rye
Were seeing consumers make lifestyle changes and opt for quality natural products, which is where Belvedere shines because weve always had a natural philosophy, says Allison Varone, the Vice President of Belvedere in the US. All Belvedere Vodka products are made with Polska rye and purified water, and finally distilled by fire, free of additives.
The vodka is distilled by fire
The platform launch is heralded by the release of their new malted spirit, Heritage 176. The name comes from the rye being heated to 176 degrees to bring out the flavor of the grain, and thereby adding that malted rye spirit to their vodka. Everyone thinks that vodka is tasteless and odorless you wont think that way after you try Heritage 176, Varone adds.

Gluten In Distilled Spirits
Remember the undistilled spirit we talked about earlier? Thats the fermented alcohol-containing liquid which is first produced by the yeast as it feeds on sugar or starch-rich foods. Every vodka requires this liquid. But if you read most vodka reviews or labels, youll see that vodkas are distilled, not undistilled.
- Undistilled: The spirit produced immediately after fermentation.
- Distilled: The spirit after fermentation and a distillation process.
Whats the Distillation Process?
An undistilled spirit tends to have a lower percentage of alcohol. As low as 16%. Most vodkas, however, have a percentage in the late thirties and up.
So, how do they increase the alcohol content?
They distill the spirit. That means they heat the undistilled spirit. Alcohol has a much lower boiling temperature than water, so, the alcohol becomes a gas which is then collected and cooled. When its cooled, it becomes a liquid again. However, the water content and other impurities have been left behind.
The distilled spirit now contains a higher percentage of alcohol. Its purer.

Once empty, the stones can be kept as a keepsake.
What Are The Different Types Of Vodka
There are three types of vodka on the market, and the main difference between the three simply boils down to whats been included during the infusion process or whats been added after the distillation process.
High-quality vodkas are 96.5 percent alcohol, while lower quality bottles are 95 percent. A bottle of plain vodka involves only two ingredients ethanol and water, at 60 percent and 40 percent respectively. Plain vodka is the most popular cocktail spirit in the world due to its lack of flavour and any strong aromas or tastes come from the distilling process rather than the spirit itself.
Infusing vodka with fruits or herbs lengthens the creation process by around three weeks. These vodkas have much stronger flavour profiles than plain vodka and can be found on the market in different colours with varying aromas. Its a similar process to whats done when producing gin and results in any number of different varieties.
The skys the limit when it comes to flavoured vodka a spirit thats ever-growing in popularity as brands and distilleries discover new combinations and exciting flavour profiles. Its possible to flavour vodka with almost anything, ranging from more traditional fruits to unique and creative offerings like salted caramel, bacon or chocolate.

Ology: How We Select Test And Rank The Best Vodkas
Vodka has kept its title as one of the most popular spirits in the world for many years, which means there are hundreds of different brands to choose from. However, while there are more brands to sample than we could ever reasonably sip, there are a handful that are known for being consistently excellent.
When we put together this guide of the best vodka brands, we looked at all of the new vodka brands that have joined the market in recent years as well as those that have kept their title of success for a longer period of time. We looked at the process used for distilling the spirit, the number of times each bottle was distilled as well as any unique factors included during this process.
We took into account the quality of the grain, potato or other base product used by each brand as well as its sustainability and whether or not the alcohol was produced locally. Then, we factored in the price of each bottle, its purpose and versatility, and its range of flavours and aromas.

Which Vodka Is Better
Again we have only preferences to consider as we are comparing premium vodkas. If you prefer a vodka that is crisp and clean and a little sweet with a dash of lemon, you may enjoy Ketel One. However if your taste buds crave a smooth and rich finish with sweet white chocolate notes, youll want to go for the Belvedere.
But Its Still Complicated
While no studies have been published on this subject , the quest for gluten-free vodka does not end here. There is anecdotal evidence that even after distillation, something in the spirit still causes a bad reaction in people who are sensitive to gluten.
And it gets worse.
You might think that sticking to a vodka which uses no gluten ingredients during the fermentation process is a safe bet. But even then there are instances where gluten gets into the end product. Some distillers add a small amount of undistilled grain spirit to the final product for coloring, flavoring and/or consistency. And, you guessed it, sometimes the grain used contains gluten.

If Quality Isn’t Exactly What You’re Going For Skyy Vodka Will Do
We’re slowly starting to inch our way to the best vodka brands on our list. If you’re looking for a vodka that’s pretty decent for mixing, then Skyy Vodka could be the bottle you’re looking for. As noted by Drizly, Skyy Vodka starts at $19.89 for a 1L bottle, so it’s still very much on the affordable side. It has underlying flavors of anise, coriander, and pepper and is a triple-filtered spirit.
This all sounds pretty good, right? Well, some users who took to the reviews on Drizly had less-than-nice things to say. First and foremost, one reviewer explained that they left the vodka in the freezer and it completely froze solid , so that seems a bit questionable if you ask us. Another reviewer put it pretty well when they said, “Skyy is pretty middle of the road. Its selling point is its cheapness.” So is it the worst? No. Is it the best? Not at all. Do with this information what you will.

With an aim to connect with consumers by remaining relevant, Polish vodka brand Belvedere has launched a new brand platform Made With Nature to capture the essence of Belvederes origin story, In an exclusive conversation with BrandWagon Online, Rodney Williams, president and CEO, Belvedere Vodka, and Sophia Sinha, head, marketing, Moet Hennessy India, talks about the new Made with Nature platform along with the global development, growth, and vision of the brand.
The biggest problem with liquor brands is to find the right way to advertise. In India, liquor brands cant advertise directly and have to take the surrogate route. Thus, how unique the concept has to be when it comes to advertising?
Rodney Williams: Yes, it is quite a challenge and yet its a big opportunity for us as well. In the case of Belvedere weve created vodkas that have a sense of taste and character, because its always been au natural. Hence, we want our consumers to enjoy it by savoring it, not just by drinking it in volume. I believe this is in line with what the government authorities would want from consumers too. Further, were seeing this trend globally where the younger generations the millennials, the older Gen Z are interested in drinking less for drinking better.
How do you position your brand? What is the conversation you drive for your consumer?

What Vodka Would You Want In Your Martini
Out of the three, Belvedere Vodka would be our choice for a classic Martini. Because of its smooth creaminess, it would be most enjoyable to drink in a spirit-forward cocktail. Belvedere does not burn and is overall a lovely spirit.
Neither of us would be mad about a Tito’s Vodka Martini, though. Tito’s is pleasant and smooth enough to drink straight. It would also save a couple of bucks if that’s what you’re looking for.
