How Good Is El Jimador Tequila

Can You Drink Reposado Tequila Straight

El Jimador Silver Tequila Review

Its Own Many tequila connoisseurs insist that drinking tequila on its own is the best way to enjoy it. Its fine to order your tequila chilled, on the rocks or straight up if youre ordering this, but most people are likely to order his, you can order your tequila chilled, on the rocks or straight up, but most prefer it chilled. Salt and lime should only be added to shots, not to a dish.

How Do You Drink Reposado

Be sure to pick a tequila that is at least reposado and made from 100% agave. Shooters in Mexico typically have tall, thin shot glasses, known as caballitos, which means little horse. The Mexican shot glasses tend to be taller and thinner than their British and American counterparts, however. Taking a small sip of tequila straight is the most enjoyable way to consume it.

What Kind Of Tequila Is Best For Margaritas

Not interested in the whole rundown? Click on each brand to read about its advantages, price point, and more. For margaritas, check out Espolon or Gran Centenario .

This list includes only 100%-agave tequilas. I don’t recommend any mixtos here. The difference between the two is this: a fully agave tequila is made by distilling the fermented juices of agave. That’s it. Nothing else is added to the fermenter, just agave juices and yeast.

Mixto, on the other hand, starts with a blend of agave juice and other sugarsglucose or fructose, or bothusually in the form of a sugar syrup. Mixtos were invented as a way to stretch the supply of agave and lower production costs. By law, they must be 51% agave. Most of us drank more than enough of this stuff in college.

My belief is this: Tequila should taste like agave, not like sugar. There are plenty of 100%-agave tequilas available for a good pricetoday I wanted to introduce you to a handful of my favorites that are available for $25 and under.

If you want to taste the differences between highlands and lowlands, you’re best off tasting silver or blanco tequilas. Because they’re not aged in wood, the flavors of the terrain aren’t masked by the oaky vanilla notes derived from barrel aging.

Why people love it?

El Jimador Reposado Tequila which is carefully distilled at Herradura is adored for its agave, vanilla, woody and fruit flavor notes.

El Jimador Tequila Silver Review:

The El Jimador Reposado Tequila is hand-blown, which means its hand-crafted. These are handcrafted, hand-blown, hand-crafted balls of artisan glory. Id go so far as to say they were a masterpiece. The bottle is a classic design with a classic cap, a classic interior, and once you pop the cap, you have a classic tequila aroma. The first thing that hits me when tasting the El Jimador Reposado Tequila Silver is the spicy flavor of agave and that pecan pie taste throughout. Long finish.

El Jimador Tequila Silver Review: The Taste

Aroma: Spicy pineapple and grilled meat with a hint of oak and a little pecan pie.

Taste: Its spicy with a smooth pecan pie finish.

El Jimador Tequila Silver Review: The Aftertaste

Aftertaste: A little tart at the end.

El Jimador Tequila Silver Review: Overall

This white tequila agave mash is phenolic and has smooth spicy pecan pie taste. As the name implies, the flavor is concentrated in the mid-palate , and this is enhanced with the presence of agave alcohol in the 30% by volume that runs through the silver. It has a long, spicy, woody finish. I like the fact that its distilled, not filtered.

Winning Tequila: The El Jimador Reposado Tequila Silver.

The El Jimador Reposado Silver is a superb white tequila agave with a spicy, pecan pie mid-palate and a long, woody finish. Quaffable, smooth, and flavorful, this is the best white tequila out there.

Aroma: Pineapple and leather.

This rating is for vintage 2000 El Jimador Repo Plenty of agave , not too much oak . Solid sipper .

  • 55Rating

This was the only tequila available on my plane, so we gave it a shot. Smells like petrol and additives with similar unpleasant taste. Undrinkable, for me. Sad since it was solid back in the day .

Pepper and chemical nose. Hot in the mouth. Odd sweetness. No agave presence.

  • 62Rating

Strong alcohol from start to finish. A little better than blanco but not a sipper for me

This is the 1999 pre-diffuser

  • 37Rating

Bottled in MAR 1999 this reposado shows why El Jimador was for a time the best selling tequila in Mexico. Too Herradura had to screw this up. Edited the score as there is no way to remove diffuser as a production method in the phone app so liking this and giving it the rating it deserves means raising the overall score for all diffuser product. That isn’t going to happen.02/07/2018

vanilla, spices and small oak hit your nose. no burn and a little smoky. I’m a fan of the taste. it rests easy on the tongue. citrus, pepper, and sweet oak combine into a subtle and gentle taste. the finish is quick and clean.

  • 62Rating

Hints of wood, vanilla and agave with stronger flavors of alcohol and spice. There is nothing wrong with this tequila. The problem is, there is nothing to bring me back.

One of the better cheaper ones

How Do You Use Reposado Tequila

el Jimador Tequila Rebrand on Behance

Reposado is an olive spirit that has been aged in barrels, so it adds notes of oak and vanilla from the time it has been sitting there, so it is best used in heavier cocktails. Nevertheless, it will also make for a great Margarita. Anejo tequila is commonly incorporated into drinks such as the Tequila Old Fashioned or Tequila Manhattan as a substitute for whiskey.

How Much Is El Jimador Tequila

Mexicos most popular tequila brand is also El Jimador. In our opinion, El Jimadors silver tequila is one of the best budget tequilas on the market, as its both authentic and tastes great. There are many reasons why this bottle is a success, and it can be found for just around $20.

How To Drink El Jimador Tequila Reposado

A shaker filled with ice and El Jimador Reposado is the best way to enjoy a pure taste of El Jimador. Drink slowly from a shot glass after straining. Aromatic notes of citrus and cinnamon, as well as a bold, ripe agave character. It may be that some swear by serving a citrus garnish, but do as you please.

El Jimador Tequila Blanco Review:

I must admit that I was a bit put off when I saw the word blanco on the bottle. I expected the color of El Jimador Blanco Tequila to be more like white/silver. I was wrong. The color of the bottle of El Jimador Blanco Tequila was more like white / off-white. However, as I continued reading on the back of the bottle, I learned that the color of this bottle of tequila is New Mexicos very own white limestone meaning this bottle is guaranteed to be natural and filtered.

El Jimador Tequila Blanco smells very strongly of orange blossom, which is a smell I usually find to be very pleasant. The smell is also very sweet which is unique as tequila usually has a very sharp and bitter odor.

El Jimador Blanco Tequila tastes very sweet and smooth. This is a tequila that one would want to sip not drink. I thought it tasted like it had all of the characteristics of a margarita mix or other lemon/lime flavored drinks. In each sip, I detected a very strong orange blossom taste. It was quite refreshing after the tasteless and bitter tasting tequila at the beach bar on the Gulf of Mexico. As you are sipping a tequila, I recommend peeling a lime and squeezing it into the tequila. It may seem like a strange thing to do, but it will amplify the flavor of the tequila and change the taste completely making it the perfect tequila for a margarita.

El Jimador Blanco Tequila is a tequila that one does not need to spend a lot of money on, you can find generic white tequilas that are just as good.

Is El Jimador Good Tequila

El Jimador Tequila Review

El Jimador Despite being one of the cheaper brands on the market, El Jimador uses 100% agave in all of its tequilas. It’s also currently the best-selling tequila in Mexico. El Jimador’s silver tequila is undoubtedly a strong choice for a budget tequila that’s not lacking in either taste nor authenticity.

El Jimador Tequila Blanco Tasting Notes And Review

El Jimador tequila blanco is a solid and well-made distillate, one of the most widespread tequilas in the world, but also one of the most reliable. Few frills and so lot of substance are the characteristics of this fermented blue agave juice distillate, which after a double distillation does not even see the wood, but is bottled immediately.

Clearly, its not a tequila for meditation but is great for making cocktails and sangria, a simple and direct product that doesnt hide behind thousands of suggestions. Do not expect a complex and evolved spirit, it is the opposite: its all freshness and straight aromaticity.

It is not a handmade product or particularly valuable, but all in all, it is a discreet tequila, it does not betray expectations and technically it is precise and clean.

    Review: El Jimador Tequila Blanco

Looking to boost its presence off the lower tier of tequilas , venerable El Jimador, the #1 selling 100% agave tequila in Mexico, is revamping its image with a new bottle design. The new look is sleeker and considerably more upscale but what of the tequila within?

2014-era El Jimador is a Lowlands spirit, unaged and named in honor of the jimador, a Mexican agave harvester. Theres modest pepper on the nose, with red chiles, lemon, coconut, and roasted meats. The body is a little all over the place, with notes of chile oil, grilled pineapple, more lemon, and a sultry agave/herbal character on the finish. Theres quite a bit of that funky meat character on the finish, but its not overwhelming or pungent.

All told, El Jimador is pleasant enough for journeyman cocktail duty, but the spirit lacks finesse, and the body is decidedly on the thin side. That said, it is fortunate to be lacking the back-of-throat burn so common in cheaper tequilas. So thats nice.

    Is Tequila A Vodka

El Jimador Tequila Beverage : Albino Rhino Beer Booze Review

There are some major differences between tequila and vodka, though they are both distilled spirits: Tequila is made from the blue agave plant and vodka is made from a starch or sugar rich plant. Tequila is distilled into five different types, while vodka only has one form. Tequila has varied taste and vodka doesn’t.
