Im not a big beer drinker, so if I belly up to a bar, my go-to drinks are a purple rain cocktail or vodka lemonade. If they have fresh strawberry puree to mix in the lemonade, its even better!

Recipe Notes And Tips

• Make a delicious virgin strawberry lemonade by simply leaving out the vodka.
• Make a batch of strawberry puree from fresh strawberries in the summer and store it in your freezer ready to use in the future.
• If you havent got a cocktail shaker then thats not a problem, you can improvise! Simply get a mason jar with a lid, add all of the ingredients for your strawberry lemonade vodka and then secure the lid on your mason jar and shake!
• Dont shake your cocktail with the soda water in it or itll go flat
• Dont worry if you dont have a Hawthorne strainer, just use a sieve or a tea strainer instead.
• Instead of a jigger, just use a shot glass or a measuring jug.
• If you want to make your own strawberry puree and dont have a blender, then use a masher or a fork instead.

I love easy cocktails and this is one of those perfect 2 ingredient vodka drinks. Of course, sprucing it up with fresh fruit really adds to the presentation. If you have the time, taking a few extra minutes to include the fruit is worth it.

Here are all the ingredients you need:

What Is Simple Syrup

Is Absolut Juice Better Than Other Flavored Vodkas

Initially when I saw this I was worried that the Absolut Juice would taste like the old-style flavored vodkas of our 20s. More Jolly Rancher than fruit.

It is that real fruit strawberry flavoring taste that you find in most strawberry candies and sodas. It has its place, but it isnt really a real fruit flavor and Im not a fan.

Absolut Juice is not that.

Are there other strawberry infused vodkas to recommend?

I am less familiar with other infused strawberry vodka, so I cant recommend a brand. However, if you are up for it, then you can also make your simple syrups fruit syrups.

When you heat the sugar and water, then add the chosen fruit, in this case strawberries. Strain out the pulp, let cool, and then you have a real fruit simple syrup. It will taste authentically like the fruit you make it with.

Just add some of that to whatever vodka you like.

The great thing is mixed vodka and fruit syrup will keep a very long time if after you mix them it is stored in the fridge.

Strawberry Lemonade Vodka Cocktail Directions

Grab your ingredients and lets make it!

Step 1: Wash and slice your strawberries and lemons. Cut a few strawberries in half and slice a few lemon wheels. This step is optional. The added fruit makes this drink look extra gorgeous and the strawberries are quite tasty after soaking in the strawberry lemonade vodka.

Step 2: Add ice, lemon wheels and strawberry slices to your cocktail glass. The ice will help hold the fruit down in the glass.

Step 3: If youre garnishing with lemons, go ahead and add a little squeeze of lemon into the glass. It adds an extra freshness to this drink.

Step 4: Add one shot of Svedka Strawberry Lemonade Vodka

Step 5: Top off with Pink Lemonade Italian Soda.

Step 6: Add a strawberry for garnish.
