Dwayne ‘The Rock‘ Johnson has filmed himself downing half a bottle of tequila in response to a viral trend – and amazingly, he doesn’t even flinch.

Most of us make a right song and dance out of shotting tequila, often spending at least five minutes psyching ourselves up to knock it back – though only after getting a whiff of the stuff and retching theatrically several times, obviously.

But Johnson is clearly made of much sterner stuff than the rest of us mere mortals, having managed to not only take a gulp without even the slightest of grimaces, but to see off half a bottle without any dramas whatsoever.

The star was responding to a challenge from TikTokerFia James , who tasked followers with having a shot without pulling a disgusted face.

In her clip, she said to the camera: “You know what? You’re not that hard. Take a shot of tequila without making a face. Bet you can’t, b****.”

The Rock dutifully obliged, proving he’s ‘hard’ by downing not just a shot of tequila, but half a bottle of it.

His tipple of choice was his own brand Teremana Tequila – which I’d imagine slides down a little easier than the stuff we’re used to necking.

Maybe it’s easier not to flinch if you’re not in a grotty nightclub passing slices of lemon around, having just forked out a whole fiver on a round of shots for you and your friends. Just sayin’.

From Disneys to the latest Netflix hit, Red Notice, its been a busy year at the movies for Dwayne The Rock Johnson. But the actor and entrepreneur has also found success with his other passion: tequila.

Launched last March , Johnsons Teremana Tequila brand has quickly become one of the most popular and sought-after celebrity spirits in the market. After launching with a Blanco and Reposado expression, the brand hits store shelves and online delivery sites this month with an Añejo.

The Rock Reveals Teremana Tequila Bottle Design

Dwayne The Rock Johnson gave fans a first look at the bottle design for Teremana Tequila on his Instagram account ahead of the brands official launch in March.

Teremana Tequila was developed by Siete Bucks Spirits, established by founder Johnson, co-founder Dany Garcia, co-founder Jenna Fagnan and co-founder Ken Austin.

Earlier this month, Hollywood actor and former wrestler Johnson revealed Teremana has signed a global distribution deal with Mast-Jägermeister.

Made at the Teremana Distillery in Jalisco, Mexico, Teremana has been designed to be the Tequila of the people.

The brand will first launch in Mexico, the US and Canada with two expressions: Teremana Blanco and Teremana Reposado .

Both bottled at 40% ABV, the Teremana range will be available in three bottle sizes: 375ml, 750ml and one litre.

Tequila is a strong liquor that is made from a type of cactus native to Mexico called agave , particularly, the BLUE AGAVE plant. Other similar liquors are made from other types of agave, but REAL tequila is ONLY made from BLUE Agave

Region also determines authenticity. Much like Champagne, in order for Tequila to really earn its name, it MUST be made from plants that come from a specific region of Mexico where the Agave plant grows natively .

After trying it, I went to the website to see if he did anything cooky like Akyroyd pouring his over 10,000 Herkimer Diamonds, however, other than roasting for three days, it seemed pretty straight forward. According to the Teremana website, its crafted in a small Mexican town, using local businesses and workers to create it.

From there, they take the agave and roast them for three days in a brick oven. From there, they extract the juices and use the left over agave gibers for organic compost in the agave fields.

After the fermentation process, Teremana is distilled in handmade copper pot stills crafted by local artisans in the area. Its simple, to the point, and works!

Teremana contains no sugar, carbohydrates, and is certified gluten-free. It only consists of 96 calories in 1.5 ozs and is actually, pretty good. As I said earlier though, they didnt redesign the wheel here. Its still tequila and tastes like tequila, though it may actually be a bit smoother than some of the other big-name brands.

Dwayne ‘the Rock’ Johnson’s Teremana Tequila On Pace For Record

Dwayne ”The Rock” Johnson has the tequila touch.

The movie star/producer/businessman‘s new spirits brand, Teremana Tequila, is on pace for a record-setting first year of sales, according to Forbes.

Teremana is preparing to sell 300,000 nine-liter cases and ship nearly 400,000 cases in its first year. In comparison, Johnson pointed out on social media, George Clooney, Rande Gerber, and Mike Meldman sold their Casamigos tequila brand to spirits giant Diageo at 175,000 cases/year for reportedly close to $1 billion.

In fact, Teremana has “become the biggest launch in the history of the spirits business… of any spirit, ever,” Johnson, 48, said.

“Our entire Teremana team and myself are quite pleased and humbled that the brand is experiencing this incredible, off-the-charts success,” he told Forbes. “But we also recognize theres so much more work to be done. Were building a mana-fueled legacy brand and Im in it for the long term.”

Currently, Teremana Blanco retails for $30 and a barrel-rested Reposado sells for $33. The company launched in March.

“My goal with the Teremana brand was to create a tequila expression that was ultra premium quality, absolutely delicious to the taste and most importantly — affordable for everyone,” Johnson continued.

The brand is also co-founded by Dany Garcia and Ken Austin.
