Huckleberry Vodka Cocktail Recipe

360 Vodka Huckleberry and the Huckleberry Hound mixed drink review

Huckleberry Vodka Cocktail is a super simple and refreshing summer cocktail recipe. With huckleberry vodka and fresh lemonade.

Walking around gift shops in little mountain towns, I always see huckleberry-flavored goodies. Ive found jams, jellies, syrups, honey, taffy, chocolates, and much more. I have seen huckleberry goodies in Colorado, Montana, Jackson Hole, and several other mountain town destinations. My curiosity about what huckleberries taste like has grown over the years. When I heard about huckleberry vodka, I knew I needed to give it a try! Huckleberries are purple in color and look and taste pretty similar to blueberries. So they pair perfectly with fresh lemonade. This Huckleberry Vodka Cocktail makes the perfect thirst-quenching summer drink to beat the heat!

Fresh huckleberries can be found in many Pacific Northwest areas such as forests. They often grow in the Rocky Mountains and are especially popular in Montana and Idaho. They are hard to find in stores as they grow in the wild and have never successfully grown commercially. If you are interested in trying huckleberry goodies, many items can be found at Walmart.com.

An Original Idaho Potato Vodka

Idaho® Burbank and Russet Potatoes along with Rocky Mountain spring water produce a smoother vodka without the bitterness. 44° North® Vodka accomplishes this with a five-column, multi-plate, distillation process that elevates the proof of the alcohol being distilled as it strips out virtually all impurities.

Let the other producers re-distill industrial produced product, artificially flavor neutral grain spirits, over-distill, and chemically treat their vodka. Well stick to using real Idaho-grown ingredients without all the smoke and mirrors. We believe its not enough to just be different, you better be great.

Prairie Schooner Spiced Rum

The intrepid souls pressing into the new frontier of the west set forth carrying only their dearest and most useful possessions, packed tight into wagons affectionately dubbed prairie schooners, they set sail across vast plains on a journey fraught with difficulty and danger. Rum, Americas first spirit was with them on their journey, to soothe their frayed nerves and tired bodies.

Possessing a more varied spectrum of flavors than any other distilled spirit, this oak barrel-aged whiskey evokes the bold vitality and broad range of the Rocky Mountain Bighorn. Though human encroachment dramatically diminished its numbers to just several thousand by 1900, this survivor has flourished thanks to conservation efforts. Today there are over 85,000 Rocky Mountain Bighorns roaming the peaks, meadows, and foothills between Canada and New Mexico. This rich bourbon whiskey makes a fitting toast to the dramatic history of Americas largest wild sheep.

Jim Bridger 10 Year Whiskey

During the 1800s, many ventured west in search of a new frontier. Exploring unchartered lands, they learned to survive by hook and crook. Hunting, trapping, and learning to farm in harsh, dry conditions. Finding fertile valleys to settle. Whiskey was sure to have been passed around the campfire, poured over wounds, and traded for goods.

It is with great honor to serve to you a whiskey made to pay homage to the frontiersman who lost their lives and the few that survived. Many of their names garner rivers, mountain ranges, and towns throughout the west.

As natives to the Pacific Northwest, we knew there were few places in the world that produced fruit as flavorful and abundant as Oregons Willamette Valley. The rich soil, pure water, and exceptional climate allow the fruit to develop unparalleled taste and balancewhich is crucial for creating an authentic tasting spirit.

Its Gold Rush time for huckleberries in western Montana, where residents and other fruit aficionados have likely wiped the state clean of the precious little purple gem and incorporated them in myriad foods. The fruit is also popular with regional distillers, including Bozeman Spirits, which uses the seasonal pickings for Cold Spring Huckleberry Vodka. If you cant hop into the downtown distillerys tasting room, a few recipes utilizing the huckleberry hooch are below.
