Olive Garden Strawberry Mango Margarita

Frozen Strawberry Mango Margarita Inspiration

Trying ALL Of The Most Popular Menu Items At Olive Garden

One drink I like is a margarita. Originally, I was not the biggest fan of margaritas. Not that they taste bad or anything, I simply never had one that impressed me.

That changed when I went to a Ball in Dallas because those margaritas had me right for the night.

They could have put more alcohol in the drink, but then again, some people drove to the event.

Therefore, the margaritas had the perfect amount of alcohol.

Tips For Making This Recipe

  • If you want a looser consistency, just add a little more coconut water . Keep in mind that a little at a time because a little goes a long way.
  • I used frozen fruit in this recipe . I find it lends itself to a deliciously slushy, cold, refreshing cocktail, which is just what you are looking for when you are talking margaritas.
  • The rim of this frozen cocktail was a salt/sugar mixture because I love salty and sweet combos. However, if you prefer you could use all salt or all sugar. You do you!
  • I blended a little sugar into the drink. Like things sweeter? Simply add a little more.
  • Used crushed ice here . It makes things a lot easier on your blender.

How Do I Make This Virgin

If you arent a drinker or you want to make this kid friendly you can easily do that. This Mango Margarita is super easy to turn virgin!

To do so you still use the frozen mangos, instead of triple sec use 1/2 cup of orange juice, then you use the same amount of lime juice and sugar.

Easy peasy, and it just tastes a little more fruitier! Which is never a bad thing because who doesnt love a fruity dink like this?

Frozen Strawberry Mango Margarita

Strawberry/mango margarita also my fav!

A deliciously easy strawberry mango margarita made in minutes with chunks of frozen fruit! This frozen margarita recipe is thick, not too sweet, and perfect for Cinco de Mayo or those summer parties.

Hey! Whats up? Today Im bringing you a yummy, thirst quenching, super thick, frozen margarita recipe, perfect for Cinco de Mayo! Sound good?

Now, Im going to give you fair warning these strawberry mango margaritas are little tricksters.

Why?

They taste deliciously fruity and sweet and you hardly realize that theres tequila in there.

Watch out, because after one or two they may knock you on your little butt. I may speak from experience.

One drink and Im good. Two and Im gone to sleep .

Then again maybe its just getting older? Hmm

And, for the record, Im a hugger. However, every now and then upon leaving a larger party, I go the route of an Irish exit. Basically, its quietly departing the party without telling anyone. No fuss, no muss. Feel me?

What Are The Benefits Of Drinking Pineapple Juice

One thing about me when I create recipes is that I want to do something to make my recipes stand out.

For my frozen strawberry mango margarita recipe, I decided to use pineapple juice instead of water.

I figured pineapple goes great with mango and strawberry, and I was right. Although pineapple juice tastes great, it still has tons of sugar, so it isnt the healthiest option in the world.

With that being said, pineapple juice still contains anti-inflammatory properties and is full of vitamin C.

How To Make A Mango Margarita Step By Step:

  • Next add in your triple sec.
  • Add in your lime juice

  • Grab a glass and line the rim with a lime coating it well.
  • Place flaked sea salt on plate and roll your glass top into the salt to coat the rim then till with Pineapple Margarita mixture.
  • Honestly, I dont think you can get much simpler than this Margarita recipe. It is sooooo simple to whip up and the best part is that you can use frozen fruit.

We love to keep all sorts of frozen fruits and this is the recipe we use for all our margarita recipes so the fruit can easily be swapped out for others like blueberries, strawberries, pineapple, peach, etc.

Any flavor that you think would work well with a margarita, you can make with this, even a berry blend would be an amazing flavor for this drink.

But like I said, Im a mango fan and I love me a good Mango Margarita! We cant deny that.

This Mango Margarita makes 2 standard glasses like the ones shown in the photos, about 3-4 cups worth of mixture.

So you can easily double or triple this depending on how many people you are looking to serving, which we do a lot because we have a lot of friends who love margaritas.

We also love using flaked sea salt for the rims of these glasses because it not only makes them look pretty, it really coats them well and we love that salty taste with this recipe.

    Why Are Margaritas So Good

An Employee Reveals Why You Should Avoid Olive Garden Salads

To answer the question of why margaritas are so good, you have to ask yourself what is in a margarita?

For my margarita, I used lime juice, water, a pinch of salt, and white sugar. If you dont want to use white sugar then simply syrup will work as well or sweeteners for a keto-friendly drink.

But Jeremy, what alcohol is used in margaritas? Im sure there are plenty of recipes using a variety of alcohol to make a margarita, but for me, I like using tequila.

What Are The Benefits Of Eating Strawberries

Real strawberries are used for the frozen strawberry mango margarita recipe.

The benefit of using real strawberries is that you get all the benefits from those strawberries. Strawberries increase HDL cholesterol, lower your blood pressure, etc.

Strawberries even protect your heart, which in that case, a lot of us should have been eating strawberries before that toxic ex came into our lives.

On a serious note though, strawberries have tons of vitamins, fiber, and antioxidants which are great for your health.

    Blended Strawberry Mango Margarita

A light and fruity blended strawberry mango margarita served in a sugar and salt rimmed glass. Perfect summertime tequila cocktail.

When I turned 21, the very first drink I ordered with my newly legal ID was a strawberry margarita at a Mexican restaurant. One of those huge, gigantic margaritas that is big enough for the whole table to share. It came in a margarita glass that could double as a large fish bowl, with a bunch of long straws. I dont even want to think about how much spittle made its way back into that drink from all the shared straws. Ick!

But heres the thing, that strawberry margarita wasgross. So sugary and overly sweet, and fake tasting. Something only a 21 year old could enjoy.

I watched them make it at the bar. The strawberry margarita mix came out frozen from a slurpee machine, and they just poured tequila on top and mixed it in with a big spoon.

No fresh strawberry juice, no fresh lime juice. And Im sure the tequila was the cheapest quality of all.

Luckily my taste has evolved a lot since then, and now when I want order a margarita it has to be made with all fresh ingredients, and good quality tequila.

The fruit adds enough natural sweetness, so I dont add in any sugar to keep these margaritas refined sugar free. But if you like your drinks extra sweet, feel free to add in some sugar.

You should definitely make this for Cinco de Mayo next week.

    Can This Be Frozen

Absolutely, this Mango Margarita recipe may not freeze fully and you will end up with more of a slush since some alcohols do not freeze.

Make as per instructions then place in a airtight container like a ziploc bag or Tupperware container and you can store it I would say 1-2 months.

To reuse, just pour your mixture back into blender and re-blend until everything is smooth and to your consistency that you like and pour into your glasses.

We like to freeze some our of margaritas for later use because its nice to just have it on hand at times when we get the urge for a refreshing drink, so its something to think about for sure.

You wont need to blend it much since this Mango Margarita is pretty much frozen anyways since you use frozen fruit, but make sure that you do get it to the consistency that you like.

I hope you get the chance to make this amazing drink this summer . It is such a simple recipe and if you have the ingredients on hand, I say why not!

Its fruity, with a touch of alcohol which you can adjust to your liking some like it stronger and some like it a little less strong and thats ok. Its all in personal preference.

    How To Make Frozen Margaritas

strawberry mango margarita from olive garden

So, today, we are taking things a step further and making a frozen margarita recipe.

The difference between a frozen margarita and a classic margarita is basically the consistency.

For a frozen margarita the ice is typically crushed and everything is added to the blender to make a nice thick cocktail, a slushy consistency.

Whereas, a classic margarita is more of a traditional style cocktail, with or without ice cubes. So, to make a frozen margarita:

  • Rub a lime wedge around the top of a margarita glass to moisten.
  • Place a little sugar and salt on a plate and mix together.
  • Invert glass into the sugar/salt mixture to coat the rim.
  • Then, in a blender, combine frozen strawberry, mango, lime juice, tequila, orange liqueur, coconut water, crushed ice and a touch of sugar. Blend until smooth!
  • Pour into prepared glasses, garnish and enjoy!

The Perfect Frozen Strawberry Mango Margarita Recipe

After the Ball, I decided to start making margaritas for myself. I made my first margarita using margarita mix, which was cool and all, but I wanted a more authentic margarita.

Eventually, I created a recipe that was the real deal, and that made me happy.

Then one day I decided to go to a restaurant and there I order a frozen strawberry mango margarita with no salt.

The drink was great, however, spending 8 dollars on one drink is a bit too pricey for my liking.

At that moment, I was inspired to make my own frozen strawberry mango margarita.

This drink would not only save me some money but also taste better than the drink at the restaurant.

Fruit. As I mentioned above, you can really substitute in different fruits based on your tastes. Ultimately you are looking for about 2.5-3 cups frozen fruits for the amount of alcohol in this recipe. This yields a really smooth, frozen margarita that isnt too boozy.

Blending. You will definitely need a blender for this recipe. I have a vita-mix and I love that thing. But any high-powered blender will do. The bulk of the freezing for this margarita comes from the fruit , but we do add a little ice in at the end so the drink is nice and thick.

Tequila. Use your favorite tequila here! I am partial to blanco tequila and my favorite brand is Casamigos tequila, but honestly I also really like the tequila from Trader Joes for a budget friendly option.

Salt. I am 100% a salt or tajin on the rim of a margarita kind of gal. You can omit the salt completely or do a mix of salt and sugar if you prefer a salty-sweet rim.

    Does Tequila Get You Drunk

Any alcohol can get you drunk, depending on the amount you drink. Most tequilas are 40 percent alcohol and 80 proof, so a lightweight will need to be careful around tequila.

For the frozen strawberry mango margarita recipe, the amount of tequila in it is perfect.

Enough alcohol to have you feeling good, but not too much to make you sloppy drunk.

If the drink isnt strong enough for you, then add more alcohol to it.
