What Is The Best Tequila
Our editors have reviewed dozens of tequila brands over the last year, to come up with some of our favorite bottles, based on taste profile, uniqueness and value. And while there are a number of tequila brands that have launched in recent months , this list runs the gamut from tried-and-true brands, to limited-edition releases that youll be smart to pick up if you see them available online.
Whether you want to sip on something smooth or just want to upgrade your margarita, here are 15 tequilas you can buy online and get delivered to your door in time for your next happy hour, dinner or party.
Danos Dangerous Tequila Aejo
One of the most-awarded bottles on our list, Danos Añejo Tequila is aged 18 months in virgin French white oak barrels and produced using 100% agave at a family-owned distillery that dates back to 1840. A small sip reveals aromas of roasted agave with woody notes, before the tequila opens up with hints of caramel, coconut and oak.
Founded in Steamboat Springs, Colorado in 2018, Danos Tequila just won Best in Class Añejo at the 2020 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Danos also won the Gold Medal in the 2019 Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America Tasting Competition, and the Double Gold and Gold in the 2018 SIP Awards.
Think of this as the cognac of tequila best for sipping neat, or with an ice cube.
What Makes Espoln Unique
The unique nature of Espolòns sweet and smooth taste comes from the way it is distilled. Normally, piñas are cut into two parts, but the Espolòn is cut into four parts, leading to the tequilas unique flavor profile. In addition, the distillation of unfiltered water from the region is also used to contribute to the tequilas distinctiveness.

El Bandido Yankee Tequila
El Bandido Yankee
A new entry into the tequila market, El Bandido Yankee launched in 2021 by former NFL player Jim Bob Morris and restaurateur and NHL Hall of Fame Hockey Player Chris Chelios. The idea: to create an ultra premium, ultra-smooth tequila at an accessible price point. This is an all-around crowd-pleasing tequila, too, with a wonderfully distinct flavor profile thats at once rich and complex. Notes of pepper and vanilla balance the buttery profile along with hints of citrus. The Reposado expression is also aged in stripped and recharred American Oak bourbon barrels, which gives it a deliciously herbaceous toasted flavor.
Though we prefer El Bandido Yankee as a sipping tequila , the flavor has enough bite to make for some beautiful cocktails, too. Everything is made in with 100% blue weber agave and is confirmed all-natural and additive-free for a tequila that goes down smooth and silky. We like what the brand is doing with the no-for-profit S.A.C.R.E.D too, which re-invests 100% of proceeds from merchandise and a portion of tequila sales back into the local Mexican communities where agave spirits are made to identify and support vital needs.

The Great Rooster Tale

We call our rooster Ramón. Hes our icon and our spirit animal. Ramón leads the charge. Hes not afraid to stir things up. And he can be counted on anytime you need a little spur to get things going.
Lets Remember The Marketplace
The marketplace holds special importance in Mexican history. Its where culture meets commerce, arts mingle with crafts and all walks of life come together. This story of the market goes way back to the remnants of the ancient Aztec civilization, and the establishment of Mexico City by the Spanish conquistadors. In it, our gutsy do-gooders Guadalupe and Rosarita, guided by Ramón the Rooster, scheme to keep important traditions of their culture alive.

The Legend Behind The Label
Espolòn, at its heart, is a tribute to Mexican culture. Our artwork, like our tequila, borrows from the past and gives it a modern twist. Each label tells a story from Mexicos rich history. Each captures a different moment, but all pay tribute to one true hero José Guadalupe Posada.
Posada was a 19th century artist and printmaker, a real pioneer and a bit of a rebel. His most famous work, the calavera , made powerful commentary on the social injustices of his time. With his sharp wit and clever hand, he gave his people a voice, and gave the art world a style that continues to influence pop culture today.

Lets Stand Up And Dance
Strictly forbidden by authorities for being too risqué, the Jarabe Tapatio was a powerful form of protest during the years after the Mexican Revolution. This provocative ritual has become an important part of the culture and is now looked upon proudly as a powerful symbol of Mexicos independent spirit. Reimagining its rebellious beginnings, our couple, Guadalupe and Rosarita, rise up against authority to celebrate the time-honored dance … while Ramón the Rooster raises a drink to spur them on.

Lets Start A Revolution
Each year Mexico marks September 16 to celebrate its Independence. This day is chosen to commemorate the 1810 uprising which saw Father Miguel Hidalgo lead the people in the first stand against the injustices of Spanish rule. Our Blanco label is a fitting tribute to that occasion. Here, Guadalupe and Rosarita fight alongside Father Hidalgo, known from this eventful day forward as the father of his country. Our very own Ramón the Rooster leads the charge, setting the stage for Mexicos revolution.
