Anyone who has spent more than five minutes on Dwayne The Rock Johnsons Instagram page will know that this man likes a good drink. Not just any drink though – tequila.
Now, the WWE wrestler has taken this love one step further as he plans to launch his own tequila brand.
Teremana Tequila will be available for fans to buy from early next year, and the Fast and Furious actor celebrated the news with a picture of himself and his team outside the distillery.
And, if the caption is anything to go by – this is not just some crappy celebrity spirit – The Rock is taking it seriously.
Writing on Instagram, he said. TERA means of the earth and MANA is our powerful Polynesian spirit that guides us. Spirit of the earth.
Our goal is to create a tequila that is the best quality and taste, but done the right way – by hand. Small batch, hand-crafted tequila from our Teremana blue agave, maturing in the highlands of Jalisco, for everyone to enjoy.
Thats all we have to go on for now, so no prices yet nor any news on whether itll be available in the UK, but we do know hell face fierce competition from celeb spirits from the likes of Nick Jonas, whose tequila launched earlier this year.
Though, were not sure wed want to be pitted against The Rock in any fight – spirit or otherwise – so we reckon, hell probably be okay.

How To Drink Teremana Tequila
Dont waste your time shotting this tequila because youll get far more enjoyment out of sipping it or mixing it into cocktails. If you want to drink your tequila in an authentically Mexican way , youll need some small, juicy, light-skinned limons and a small amount of salt.

This goes back to when I was a teenager, just dipping my toes into the realm of health and fitness. Ive always been very particular with what I ingest, particularly with beverages.

According to Johnsons business partners, this speaks to more than simple celebrity appeal. He is a creator sometimes of businesses, sometimes of content but always as a true principal in the process.
For Teremana, that meant much more than frequent social media selfies with new product. Johnson got on the ground with distillers in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, to develop the actual liquid entering the bottle. He even helped conceive the name, riffing on the Latin word for earth with the name of a supernatural spirit from Polynesian lore.

This Is The Rock’s Favorite Way To Drink Tequila
In the year and a half since Dwayne Johnson launched his tequila brand, Teremana, he has learned a lotincluding the best foods to pair it with.
In March 2020, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s tequila brand, Teremana, was supposed to launch with a full-scale marketing campaign. But when the pandemic hit, Johnson decided to take a different approach. He started hosting “Teremana Tuesdays” on Instagram Live, addressing the isolation that everyone was feeling in the early days of the pandemic.
He’d make , answer questions, and talk about silver linings amid a confusing time. “I did that every week and developed a real connection with the consumers,” Johnson said. His unique style paid off: By the end of 2020, Teremana had sold 300 cases of tequilaa record-breaking amount of sales in comparison to any other spirit in its first year of business.
“I’m really grateful that consumers didn’t only trust the new brand, but they all made a point of sending in these videos of themselves enjoying Teremana,” he said. “It became this really unique experience with a tequila.”
While Teremana has been 10 years in the making, it wasn’t until five years ago that Johnson connected with a family-owned distillery in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. Together, they built a new distillery exclusively for Teremana, and 113 distillations of Teremana Blanco were created before Johnson was satisfied. “I wanted to make sure that I went into the venture with respect and reverence to the culture,” he said.

The 47-year-old actor and former wrestler has taken to Instagram to unveil Teremana Tequila, his own brand of the alcoholic beverage that fans will be able to buy in the first quarter of 2020.
Posting a picture of himself alongside the distillery crew, he wrote “The name is official.
“Ladies and gents, I proudly bring you, TEREMANA TEQUILA, he posted.

The Hollywood star took to Instagram on August 11 to make the announcement that his añejo tequila would launch this October.

Its made only with fully mature highlands agave, roasted in our traditional brick ovens, distilled in our handmade copper pot stills and aged in our American whiskey barrels.

The Rock Takes Teremana Tequila To Canada
Dwayne The Rock Johnson has launched his ultra-premium Teremana Tequila brand in Canada.
Teremana Tequila will initially be available in Ontario, before being rolled out to British Columbia, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia.
Johnson announced the news on Instagram by sharing a video clip in which he joined a group of friends during their Zoom happy hour, who have been requesting Teremana in Canada for some time.
