Food Truck And Craft Beer Festival Returns To Fairgrounds Saturday

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The 7th annual SC Food Truck and Craft Beer Festival is returning to the state fairgrounds this weekend .

The event, organized by Food Truck Festivals of America will happen Saturday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. and will include 30 local food trucks serving a variety of foods from BBQ to donuts to New England-style lobster rolls and more.

Some of the food trucks participating include Cruisin Cuisine, The Noodle Lady, T& A Southern Eats, Taylormade Smoothies, Bangin Vegan Eats, Smokin Gringos TexMex BBQ, The Donut Shack, Bubblelicious Waffles, Palmetto Kettle Corn.

Organizers say local, regional and national craft beers will be available for sale at the festival. Those brands include Steel Hands Brewing, Wicked Weed, Savage Galaxy IPA, Wild Leap Lemonade, Bold Rock Apple Cider, Swamp Cabbage Brewing, Sugar Creek Brewing Company and more.

Presale tickets will be available in advance online for $5 or at the gate for $10. Admission is free for children 12 and under.

First responders and military are free with valid ID at the gate.

Our photography / video team might see you and say… “WOW! Can I Bring A Backpack

The quick answer is no… Bags are restricted to small purses, totes and drawstring bags only. Bag size may not exceed 14 x 11 x 5 , or 30 linear inches in total, and must have no more than one singular pocket or opening. Well be using metal detector wands and searching all small bags, totes, and drawstring bags at the gate – it’s not that we don’t trust you, it’s just how it goes! You’ve all been to events before and witnessed someone giving security a hard time over searching their belongings. The reason we do it is not because you’re a criminal, but because we want everyone to be safe and have a great time.

What Happens If It Rains Or If It Is Too Hot

Whatever the weather, we will still be pouring. Rain or shine, the show goes on! Remember to dress for the weather and wear sunblock. Even if it is grey and cloudy, wear sunblock. This is vital. Sunblock and water are so key!! Your raincoat and rubber boots may make your experience if it calls for rain.

What Are The Rules Around Smoking Cigarettes / Cannabis

We will have designated smoking areas on the grounds where smoking is permitted. If our security staff see you smoking outside these designated areas they will ask you to extinguish your smoke and move to the proper area. If you refuse to abide by the smoking policy, our security staff will kindly ask you to leave the festival grounds. We don’t want to do that – lets just have fun and be courteous to everyone so we can all have a good time!

You will be allowed to enter the festival with a small quantity of “personal use only” cannabis in a pre-rolled format . Entry will be denied for anyone with loose leaf cannabis, cannabis edibles / oils or other cannabis products. All other illegal substances are strictly prohibited.

What If I Want To Drive

Don’t drive! It’s a Beer Festival and chances are you’ll be enjoying some beverages. Please enjoy the convenience of the TTC or a cab or an Uber. Just no drinking and driving whatsoever. If you are the DD, here’s some parking info: we do not have designated parking for the festival. We recommend finding Pay Parking in Liberty Village or just avoiding driving altogether, if that’s an option for you.

Salem Food Truck And Craft Beer Festival

Food Truck Festivals of America returns to Salem with the ultimate food truck experience for a two-day festival that will feature some of the areas most popular food trucks. The vendors will be dishing out fan favorites as well as dozens of regional and national craft breweries.

City Hall and 98 Washington Street will be closed Friday, December 23 and Friday, December 30, while other municipal offices will close at 11:30am. There are two stations on Exhibition Grounds. Here’s how to get here:

1) 29 Dufferin Bus – Take the Bloor subway to Dufferin Station, board the #29 bus south to Exhibition Place.

2) 511 Bathurst Streetcar – Take the Bloor subway to Bathurst Station, board the #511 streetcar south to Exhibition Place. There are two streetcar stops at Exhibition Place, at Strachan Avenue, and adjacent to the Horse Palace/GO Station.

3) 509 Harbourfront Streetcar – Take the Yonge-University subway to Union Station. Take the 509 Streetcar from the Union Station southbound streetcar tunnel towards Exhibition Loop . There are two streetcar stops at Exhibition Place, at Strachan Avenue, and adjacent to the Horse Palace/GO Station.

What Will The Security Be Like At The Festival How Long Will It Take To Enter

Our front gate and security staff are industry professionals who will help get everyone in to the event in an efficient and safe manner. Please anticipate a short wait before entering the event so that our staff can be thorough in searching our attendees. It’s for your own safety so let’s work together on this and it will help everything move a lot quicker. Below is our formal notice regarding our safety protocol when entering the event…

In order to provide our patrons with a safe environment, the following security measures may be in effect:

1) As a condition of entry and for the purpose of public safety, everyone will be subject to reasonable search of their person including the use of hand-held metal detectors and/or pat downs.

2) As a condition of entry and for the purpose of public safety, you may be asked by our security team to present proof of full COVID-19 vaccination, to wear face coverings while at the event, and/or to undergo symptom screening and/or temperature checks prior to entering the event.

3) Searches may cause brief delays in entering, so we encourage everyone to arrive early. Those patrons who do not carry any items into FBFTO will enter more rapidly than those who bring items in with them. Guests are encouraged to leave belongings in their vehicles or at home whenever possible.

What Covid

• All ticket holders MUST provide proof of Covid-19 double vaccination in order to attend the event.

• Prior to arriving at the event, visit Ontario COVID-19 Vaccination to access a legal copy of your vaccination receipts. Download the latest receipt that clearly indicates youve received 2 valid doses. Print a hard copy or upload the receipt to your phone and bring along with your ticket.

• Your ticket to the event is void and you will be denied access to the event if you do not show valid proof of vaccination with a matching government issued photo ID.

• Contact tracking must be submitted upon arrival to the festival. Signage will be posted with a QR code for guests to access with the camera on their phone. If no access to data, a text message option is available.

• Temperature check at the gate, anyone with a temperature of 37.6 or greater will be asked to leave immediately, to self-isolate, and to self-monitor for further symptoms.

• Masks must be worn when interacting with festival staff and/or in areas when social distancing is not an option.

• The Covid Compliance Team and Security will be enforcing these measures. Violators will be asked to adhere to the rules or will be escorted off the property.
