Apartment Complex Fire Displaces Kingsport Residents

KINGSPORT A Friday afternoon blaze at Kingsport’s Brandy Mill apartments has damaged multiple units and displaced several residents.
The fire was called in at approximately 2:30 p.m. Emergency responders arrived at the complex, 2416 East Stone Drive, to find heavy flames emitting from one of the buildings.
All occupants had already evacuated prior to the arrival of the Kingsport Fire Department. According to KFD Deputy Chief Jim Everhart, the fire originated in a second floor apartment, with the occupant of that residence later transported to the hospital for a medical evaluation.
