ATLANTIC CITY – Katie Mancuso, of Upper Darby, Pa., hung out ona recent Saturday near the vodka bar at Red Square here enjoyingher favorite cocktail – Three Olives cherry vodka withSprite.

Mancuso’s best friend turned her on to cherry vodka and Sprite twoyears ago. Mancuso, 26, was previously a beer drinker.

“She drank it. I said, What are you drinking?’ I tasted it, and Iliked it. Cherry vodka with Sprite tastes like a Shirley Temple,”said Mancuso about the non-alcoholic mixed drink made of lemon-linesoda and grenadine syrup.

Mancuso tried to pass on the taste for flavored vodka to heryounger sister, but it didn’t take hold.

“I tried bubble gum vodka. My sister turned 21. I wanted to get hersomething I thought she would like, but she didn’t like it,” saidMancuso, who has a bottle of cherry vodka at home.

Five years ago, the idea of purchasing bubble-gum-flavored vodkawas unheard of, but the variety of flavored vodkas has exploded inrecent years.

Recent additions to the market include: Smirnoff’s Spicy Root Beerand Roasted Espresso SKYY’s all-natural pineapple CIROC’s RedBerry, a marriage of strawberry and raspberry Absolut’s BerriAcai, a juice blend of acai, blueberry and pomegranate flavors VanGogh’s caramel Stolichnaya’s Gala Applik, a blend of red applewith a hint of citrus and Belvedere’s Black Raspberry.

Some people leave straight vodka and gravitate to flavored vodkasso they can drink vodka with some taste to it while watchingcalories.

I had this once, in college. Since it was in college, it was straight no mixer in sight, as always. I recall it being everything what I had prior was not. I didnt wake up clutching my pillow, didnt feel like Id been assaulted by heavy machinery the night before, and didnt lose any food nor stomach linings either. Hardly accolades, but college, right? For what its worth, I do recall that I had no issue choking the stuff down from the Dixie cups we liberated from the bathroom. Taste? Flavor? Hah. I dont know. So, the anti-review. Given its only 25% more than really caustic products where I live, I dont think it needs to be anything more than markedly less toxic than the worst to represent a good value. Its something that, older and wiser ,Ill touch again. Wont even fret or grimace prior to. The other stuff will never pass my lips again. Three Olives told me that vodka didnt need to be a scary, violent spirit.

Okay. It does have a stylish glass bottle. Nice presentation. Its a good package and basically does what it sets out to be its respectable, drinkable vodka at a popular, easily afforded price.

This is ABSOLUTELY the best vodka Ive EVER tasted! After trying highly rated Grey Goose & Stoli along with a few other less offensive brands including some cheap ones, Three Olives is a real treat. Like vodka SHOULD, it has no actual flavor. Once you get past the initial alcohol burn on your first sip, its like drinking water if you drink it straight up. It isnt cheap, but its so smooth & doesnt have that bitter twang that makes high rated vodkas so disgusting & like drinking an ashtray even sometimes. Its so smooth you can make tasty kamikazes without even using triple sec.

I tried this finally. Its been sitting in my fridge for a week. I found it fairly neutral as a 1/2 shot. Since its from England and Boru is from Ireland, I thought What better combo could there be? I mean, theyve only fought so many wars So I followed it with a 1/2 shot of Boru, which I found slightly harsher. Retried the 3 Olives to confirm this. And then finished with some Sobieski. Id rate it a bit below Sobieski for shooting. Three Olives doesnt really have much character, but it mixed pretty well with my Diet Mountain Dew, though. For $16 on sale, Id rather spend my money elsewhere. Not bad, but not great.

I purchased a 1 liter bottle recently to try this in a martini, since I could not find any bars that stock it. The martini it makes is good, but not special in any way. It pours very watery without the more syrupy viscosity that Ive seen from many of the better vodkas Ive tried. The initial flavor is mild with a slight peppery bitterness and only a little sweetness to complement. The martini is fairly smooth, though, and has only a relatively mild burn when swallowed. Overall, I would give it 3 stars and place it somewhere in the middle of all of the vodkas Ive tried so far. There are better more expensive vodkas, but also better less expensive vodkas, so I find it an unlikely repeat candidate for my freezer.

• TO MAKE BUBBLEGUM INFUSED VODKA:.
• Quarter the 16 pieces of bubblegum and place them in a sealable glass jar.
• Add the 2 cups of Vodka and seal and place in a cupboard.
• Stir every 4 hrs for the next 24 hrs .
• After 24 hrs strain through a paper coffee filter into a clean pretty jar.
• Enjoy!
• 1 1/2 oz Godiva White Chocolate Liqueur.
• 4 oz milk.Hard Bubblegum Lemonade.
• 1 cup crushed ice.
• Put everything in a blender and whizz till smooth.

• 3 oz pink lemonade concentrate.
• 6 ice cubes.
• 6 oz club soda.

Ive tried many cheap vodkas and this one is the best. For only about $12 its cheap, and flavorful. They have many great flavors. Bubble gums my favorite. Its great with sprite, midori, and grenadine with a plash of pineapple. Its great for mixing, you cant taste the vodka, only the flavor. You would think bubblegum would be nasty, but its really not.The tang vodka is the nastiest one Ive had from them. It didnt taste citrusy at all. No mixer would cover the horrific rubbing alcohol flavor. It ended up going up for grabs. Even then it took my friends months to finish it.Most of their other flavors are great. I guess it all depends on what youre mixing it with.Its not a good straight vodka, you need to balance it out with something but for the price, and compared to similarly priced vodkas, it is one of my favorites.

I am a Grey Goose martini fan, but was pleasantly surprised by Three Olives.. It was smooth, a light alcohol bite and taste, and while not on a par with GG, at half the price it is considered a good substitute for saving a buck. I keep the vodkas in the freezer, so that gives it a heavier flow.
