Blantons Has Finally Blessed The Us With Two Previously Unavailable Editions
For years, U.S. Blantons lovers pined after two products they couldnt get their hands on in the states. . But Blantons single-barrel Gold Edition and Straight From The Barrel bourbons are now finally available on the American market.
The Gold edition, a 103-proof version of Blantons classic single-barrel bourbon, made its way to U.S. shelves in the summer of 2020 and is released in limited quantities once a year at a suggested MSRP of $120. Straight From The Barrel an uncut, unfiltered bottle wasnt far behind. In fall 2020, it made its domestic debut with a $150 price tag. Like the Gold edition, its only released once a year, so Blantons fans need to keep their eyes peeled if they want to get their hands on either of the sought-after bottles.
You Can Collect The Horse Stoppers And It Will Drive You Mad
Theres an adorable horse stopper atop every bottle of Blantons single-barrel Bourbon. Each one has a letter inscribed on it that you can find in a little circle on the lower left part of the stopper. Collect all eight and you get B-L-A-N-T-O-N-S . FYI, the S shows the horse crossing the finish line you can tell because the jockey is fist-pumping. But dont join him in the winners circle just yet double-check that your Ns arent identical. The first is a regular old N, but the second should have a colon after it, as shown here.
How To End The Contract With Us
8.1 Tell us you want to end the contract. To end the contract with us, please let us know by doing one of the following:
8.1.2 By post. Write to us at the address set out in paragraph 2.2 and include details of what you bought, when you ordered or received it and your name and address.
8.3 When we will pay the costs of return. We will pay the costs of return:
8.3.1 if the products are faulty or misdescribed or
8.3.2 if you are ending the contract because we have told you of an upcoming change to the product or these terms, an error in pricing or description, a delay in delivery due to events outside our control or because you have a legal right to do so as a result of something we have done wrong.
8.4 What we charge for collection. If you are responsible for the costs of return and we are collecting the product from you, we will charge you the direct cost to us of collection. The costs of collection will be the same as our charges for standard delivery.
8.5 How we will refund you. We will refund you the price you paid for the products including delivery costs, by the method you used for payment. However, we may make deductions from the price, as described below.
8.6 Deductions from refunds if you are exercising your right to change your mind. If you are exercising your right to change your mind:

Our Responsibility For Loss Or Damage Suffered By You
12.1 We are responsible to you for foreseeable loss and damage caused by us. If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract or our failing to use reasonable care and skill, but we are not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable. Loss or damage is foreseeable if either it is obvious that it will happen or if, at the time the contract was made, both we and you knew it might happen, for example, if you discussed it with us during the sales process.
12.2 We do not exclude or limit in any way our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or the negligence of our employees, agents or subcontractors for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation for breach of your legal rights in relation to the products including the right to receive products which are: as described and match information we provided to you and any sample or model seen or examined by you of satisfactory quality fit for any particular purpose made known to us supplied with reasonable skill and care and for defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987.
Your Rights To Make Changes
If you wish to make a change to the product you have ordered please contact us. We will let you know if the change is possible. If it is possible we will let you know about any changes to the price of the product, the timing of supply or anything else which would be necessary as a result of your requested change and ask you to confirm whether you wish to go ahead with the change. If we cannot make the change or the consequences of making the change are unacceptable to you, you may want to end the contract .

Blantons Barrels Are Also Mildly Tortured
With the bourbon inside, Blantons barrels are aged for several years in Warehouse H. Since metal conducts heat, the walls of Warehouse H act like an amplifier for Kentuckys temperature fluctuations, increasing the impact of heat and humidity changes all of which encourages the barrels to absorb and then flush out the bourbon more often over the course of aging. The more interaction between bourbon and barrel, the more flavor in the end.
We Owe It To A Guy Called Blanton And His Thirst For Good Bourbon
Yes, there was a Blanton Albert Bacon Blanton. Lee named his game-changing single-barrel after Blanton, a man who had worked his way up from 16-year-old desk clerk at what would become Buffalo Trace Distillery to distillery president from 1921 to 1952. Blanton grew the distillery exponentially and saw it through Prohibition and World War II. Naming the single-barrel for Blanton is a tribute: Back in the day, Blanton would put aside what he considered to be the best bourbon, which came from barrels aged in the center of the all-metal Warehouse H . To this day, thats where Blantons single-barrel Bourbon is aged.

What Is Blanton’s Bourbon
Named for Albert B. Blanton, Blanton’s is a high-rye bourbon made in Frankfort, Kentucky. It was introduced by Elmer T. Lee, master distiller of George T. Stagg distillery , in 1984. Lee is credited for pushing premium bourbon in a time when it did not make financial sense to do so, and in turn Blanton’s is considered one of the bourbons that created the modern bourbon boom. The brand also claims it was the first single barrel bourbon product, a category that’s become increasingly popular over time. Since the original Blanton’s release, the brand has incrementally launched additional expressions to the brand: Special Reserve, Gold Edition and Straight From the Barrel.
Theres A Risk Of Inconsistency From Bottle To Bottle
Thats part of the magic and curse of a single-barrel product. Bourbons are typically created by blending whiskey from multiple barrels to reach a desired flavor profile. But as you now know single-barrel bourbons like Blantons take a different approach. Every individual barrel ages differently, even when aging in the same warehouse with others. Thus, the final product might taste unique from bottle to bottle.
Granted, youre still operating in bourbon territory, so there are fairly limited elements at play . The range of possible flavors is nothing too crazy. However, each barrel might showcase varying degrees of brown sugar, smoke, caramel, clove, vanilla, hazelnut, orange peel, and other flavor notes.

Other Notable Whiskeys To Pick Up Abroad
Blantons Gold: When it comes to proof, Gold sits between standard Blantons and Straight from the Barrel. Like the barrel-proof option, its harder to find outside of urban areas. Expect to pay anywhere from $60 to $90 for it.
Four Roses Black Label: Not much is known about Four Roses Black other than the fact that its dirt cheap and mixes into a punch really, really nicely. Its everywhere Super Premium is, but it usually goes for about $20.
Wild Turkey 12-Year: Its discontinued, but its what whiskey nerds would be looking for. Look for it in stores off the beaten path.
I.W. Harper 12-Year: Some will call I.W. Harper a hype play, but the slightly mysterious 12-year-old bourbon isnt too expensive and looks great in a liquor cabinet. And if you believe the rumors that it was distilled by Four Roses, its a perfect holiday gift with some backstory.
Evan Williams 23-Year: Another famous discontinued offering. Most reviews indicate Evan Williams 23-year is painfully oaky, suggesting its perhaps too old. Thats no matter. If you find it, buy it. Bottles of it go on the secondary market for $500 and up and its not any cheaper at the Evan Williams gift shop when its even available.

b) Up to six months: if your goods cant be repaired or replaced, then youre entitled to a full refund, in most cases.

A Specially Reserved Selection
Blantons is a special blend that its original maker, Colonel Blanton, bottled specifically for the private enjoyment of his most esteemed family, and friends. According to master distillers who worked with the Colonel in the 1940s, Blanton would walk among the bourbon barrels, stacked high in their cool Kentucky warehouses. Hed carefully select special honey barrels, based on their unique aroma, and hed set them aside for his own special use.
After hand-distilling that carefully-chosen barrel into bottles, one by one, Colonel Blanton would open them infrequently to toast visiting dignitaries and beloved guests. It was in Blantons name that Buffalo Traces master distiller Elmer T. Lee made a special Single Barrel reserve in the 1980sthe first commercially produced single barrel bottling. Our Contract With You
3.1 How we will accept your order. Our acceptance of your order will take place when we email you to accept it, at which point a contract will come into existence between you and us.
3.2 If we cannot accept your order. If we are unable to accept your order, we will inform you of this and will not charge you for the product. This might be because the product is out of stock, because of unexpected limits on our resources which we could not reasonably plan for, because we have identified an error in the price or description of the product or because we are unable to meet a delivery deadline you have specified.
3.3 Your order number. We will assign an order number to your order and tell you what it is when we accept your order. It will help us if you can tell us the order number whenever you contact us about your order.
