One of Pearts most moving lyrics. Originally from Signals, the song tells stories of a ballerina who could no longer dance and a writer who could no longer find the words. In an interview after Rushs tour ended, he quoted the song, saying that he wouldnt want to be one of the characters in the song he knew that he, and Rush retired at the top of their game. This live version was from one of the shows on Rushs final tour, and they were joined for this performance by violinist Jonathan Dinklage , who was an alumni of the Clockwork Angels String Ensemble. Geddy vocals dont quite match his singing on Signals, but that just gives the performance a bit more weight.

La Villa Strangiato From Exit Stage Left
Originally from Hemispheres, it was Rushs first full-length instrumental piece but for some reason, in this live version, Geddy Lee added lyrics to somewhat humorous effect. The song was subtitled, An Exercise In Self-Indulgence, and it certainly was that, but it also works remarkably well with or without lyrics.

Our second Limited Edition collaboration with Rush. After rigorous taste-testing, Moving Pitchers was Rush-approved for a special limited run. This is a Belgian blonde with a Pinot Noir wine must added to the finish. Moving Pitchers comes in at a magical 11.9% and can be aged for up to 5 years. The name is a cheeky play on the famous album cover triple entendre, and the bottles label was designed by longtime Rush album graphic artist Hugh Syme.

But the song is even more compelling when he looks at people living with dignity: particularly a family who lost a daughter to violence and try to make sense of it.

Legendary Rock Band Rush Gets Its Own Beer
Rush is probably one of the more polarizing uber-successful rock bands in the world and theyve partnered with a popular Canadian brewery to release a new beer that could generate another rush.
Heres the deal
You either love the Canadian rock band Rush, or you hate them, theres seldom middle ground. Youve got to be into to progressive rock to begin with and open to eclectic lyrical motifs that draw heavily on science fiction, fantasy and philosophy, as well as to Getty Lees high register vocals.
But whatever your take on the band theyve had an incredible run having been awarded 4 Platinum and 3 multi-Platinum albums in the US and entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.
So yeah, these guys have earned their own beer.
It started during 2015s R40 tour which commemorated the 40th anniversary of drummer Neil Peart, , joining the band four decades earlier.
After a gig, someone handed Geddy Lee, Rushs lead vocalist, bass, synthesizer player and composer, a bottle of Iron Maiden -Trooper beer.
Geddy took one look at it and jokingly asked where the Rush beer was. That moment stayed with the band, and recognizing the growing craft beer movement, particularly in their hometown of Toronto, they decided it was time.
Like with so many bands., beer has always been an important part of the bands touring experience. That first after-show beer helping to draw a line between that nights show and the wind-down that follows.

In The End From All The Worlds A Stage
The studio version of In The End from 1975s Fly By Night, is great but this was really meant to be played live. When the intro fades out at about 1:50 into the song and Lee whispers, one, two, buckle my shoe! and then Lifeson enters with his killer guitar riff, you have to imagine lighters filling the theater.

One reason that the Clockwork Angels tour was so amazing was that the band brought a string section out with them. And while most string sections accompanying rock bands sit down, the Clockwork Angels String Ensemble all stood, and rocked out when they drew their bows. They were mostly there for the songs on the Clockwork Angels album, but they played a few other songs too, Dreamline being a real highlight. The song, about the power of youth, has one of Pearts most prescient lines: were only immortal for a limited time.

Rush singer and bassist Geddy Lee revealed that he and guitarist Alex Lifeson were forbidden from using a slogan theyd come up with for the launch of their branded beer.
Rush Canadian Golden Ale weighs in at 5.5% ABV, and the can features the Starman artwork from the classic album 2112, along with the tagline Books are for tourists. But in a new interview with Classic Rock, Lee revealed those words aren’t the ones they wanted to be inscribed above the graphic.
Rush fans like beer, he said. Hendersons approached us during the pandemic and said, If youre interested, then well send 15 beers to you and Alex. You can taste them and give us your notes. Lee said the final 11 years of the band’s career which ended in 2018 with the retirement and later the death of Peart were among the most enjoyable. Snakes & Arrows and Clockwork Angels were probably the two most fulfilling recording experiences wed ever had, he noted. It was the happiest period for the band since Permanent Waves.

Ghost Rider From Vapor Trails
Rush took a long hiatus in the late 90s in fact, it wasnt a foregone conclusion that the band would ever work together again. Neil Peart lost his daughter and his wife within months of each other, and wasnt sure hed ever return to playing drums, much less being in a band. He went on a long motorcycle trip that took him from Alaska to Belize . This song was obviously inspired by that journey.
