Rémy Martin fine champagne cognac liquor Chocolate Candy Review!

French spirits house best known for its winegrowing heritage and cognac expertise, Remy Martin launched its newest addition to its Cognac Fine Champagne collection at the recent Whisky Live 2022 in Manila, the biggest liquor event in the world.

Selected for its oaky smoothness, the 1738 Accord Royal is a unique blend of cognac rooted in deep history born from the cask and named in honor of the Accord Royal granted by King Louis XV to Rémy Martin in 1738.

The 1738 Accord Royal, described as a truly distinctive cognac, has exceptional smoothness and rounded oakiness that start with the toasting of the casks before the eaux-de-vie begins to mature. Full of floral, fruity, spicy, and toasted flavors, it lends itself to a whole host of cocktails and food pairings.

It is with great pride to introduce Rémy Martins newest 1738 Accord Royal to the Philippines, said Rémy Cointreau Philippines Chief Representative Ed Guzman. Our newest product is specially made for the younger market as it has extraordinary smoothness and subtle notes of toasted bread, vanilla, and brioche that can be enjoyed neat, on ice, or in a cocktail on any occasion.

With its outstanding quality, the 1738 Accord Royal has also been recognized and approved by experts in the most prestigious competitions, winning 4 double gold medals in the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and a gold medal in the Cognac Masters.

In fact, the age denomination VSOP Fine Champagne is all down to the genesis of this very Cognac. Youll be sipping on history with a glass of this fine nectar.

The Rémy Martin VSOP is crafted using select grapes grown in the prestigious Fine Champagne Cognac crus, and is perfectly balanced to unite both powerful and elegant aromas of stone fruit and vanilla.

The eaux-de-vie of the Grande and Petite Champagne are renowned for their aging potential. This Cognac is something of a legend, and has been reimagined time and time again with a series of limited edition Cognacs.

It was first created in 1927, when the Cellar Master of the time, André Renaud assembled the very first VSOP Fine Champagne. History was made right there and then.

We recommend serving this iconic VSOP with ginger ale and garnish with lime, but it goes beautifully well in just about any long drink or cocktail. Its versatility means that it can also be sipped neat, or on the rocks.

Cognac.com defines the French term Champagne as referring to chalk soils found. Champagnes sparkling wine region and Cognacs Champagne regions contain these soils. The two areas at the heart of the Cognac, Grande Champagne, and Petite Champagne, are considered the most premium areas for growing grapes thanks to these soils, creating Cognac Fine Champagne. Because of its quality, the region became an officially recognized appellation dorigine contrôlée or A.O.C. in 1938. Wine Folly adds that these Cognac soils produce highly aromatic fruit with floral notes that, through extensive oak aging, create a delicate, refined expression of the fruit.

Cognac from Grande Champagne takes the longest time in barrel to reach its full potential, producing light, delicate flavors, explains Distiller. Grande Champagne Cognac is the most highly regarded product in the region, followed by Petite Champagne.

In 1948, La Maison Rémy Martin became a producer of exclusively Cognac Fine Champagne, believing these soils are the best to ripen the fruit to perfection. They are among the few significant producers to source fruit solely from this area. Rémy Martins Fine Champagne Cognac for the Accord Royal includes a blend of 65% Grande Champagne and 35% Petite Champagne .

Remy Martin Fine Champagne Cognac VSOP

This Cognac certainly is one step further from XO and it should be served with serious respect. Sure you can have it just with your favorite cigar, but my thing is more gastronomical. I would enjoy it with a cocked pear in red wine, accompanied with pan-seared foie gras and crispy jamón ibérico on the top. On the side, some sweet smooth port wine espuma and thats it.

How To Drink Remy Martin

Rémy Martin VSOP Fine Champagne Cognac Review

Enjoying Remy Martin is best done by sipping it neat to showcase its lovely assortment of fruity, floral, and spicy aromas. The drink can be enjoyed on the rocks, but traditionally, Cognac is served at room temperature or warmed.

To drink Remy Martin, pour it into a Cognac snifter. Serve Cognac in various glassware, but the best shape is a Cognac snifter.

This is also attributed to the shape, which will make the Cognac slightly warmer in your hand, adding to its rich flavor.

Remy Martin is also an enjoyable option when served with ice or mixed into a drink. In terms of cocktails, go for citrus flavors that complement the sweetness of the spirit.

Try pairing with a lighter drink like lemonade, cola, or club soda to see how the flavors interact.

The House Of Rmy Martin

The story of the House of Remy Martin started three centuries ago and is part of five generations. Since 1724, the House of Remy Martin is on their quest to produce the best what region of Petite and Grande Champagne can offer. Now two families with equal share run the business Rémy Martin and the Heriard Dubreuil families.

Rémy Martins family understands the importance of time, and how can spirit develop over the years. So called the eaux-de-vie requires a great number of years to fully express its true character. Time is a master that Rémy Martin respects deeply, and counts on when it comes to the future. That might also be the reason they have one of the greatest cognac eaux-de-vie reserves in the world.

Part of the House of Rémy Martin is also an ongoing tradition to distill all its cognacs on the lees in small copper stills. This traditional process creates a perfectly balanced cognac with a subtle blend of fruity, floral, oaky, and spicy aromas. On the lees means it has a leftover yeast particle from autolysis which is the self-destruction of yeast cells by enzymes created from fermentation. Indeed, this tradition certainly is one of the reasons for Rémy Martin harmonious taste. But is this Cognac harmonious as well?

The History Behind Remy Martin Cognac

Remy Martin is named after its founder, Remy Martin, who was a winegrower in southwestern France. He started a trading house of cognac in the year 1724, and after his death in 1773, his grandson Remy took care of his business.

During the 17th century, French people could not grow wine yards privately. But since King Louis XV loved the cognac produced by Remy Martin, he gave special permission to plant new wine yards for Remy Martin in 1738.

After World War II, Remy Martin partnered with the Cellar Master, Andre Renaud, to create fine champagne in 1927. Later, Renauds son-in-law, Andre HeriardDubreuil, took over the house in 1965.

This is the only brand to expertise in making fine Champagne cognac, which appoints Pierrette Trichet, the first woman, as a cellar master in 2003. The current cellar master, Baptiste Loiseau, joined them in 2014, leading the brand to make innovative yet traditionally fine cognacs.
