The new Bourbon BBQ Barrel Stack features a buttermilk chicken fillet topped with pit-smoked ham, 13-hour smoked brisket, brown sugar bacon, melted cheddar cheese, crispy onions and Kentucky Bourbon BBQ Sauce on a star cut bun.
Last years Bourbon BBQ Triple Stack was similar in nature, with a buttermilk chicken filet, sliced Angus steak, smoked brisket, brown sugar bacon, smoked cheddar cheese, crispy onions and Kentucky Bourbon BBQ Sauce on a star cut bun.
Arbys appears to have just swapped out the Angus steak for pit-smoked ham this time around.
In addition to the new sandwich, Arbys is welcoming back a pair of fan-favorite Bourbon BBQ Sandwiches:
Bourbon BBQ Turkey: Roast turkey, brown sugar bacon, smoked cheddar cheese, crispy onions and Kentucky Bourbon BBQ Sauce on a star cut bun.
Bourbon BBQ Brisket: 13-hour smoked brisket, brown sugar bacon, cheddar cheese, crispy onions and barrel-aged Kentucky Bourbon BBQ Sauce on a star cut bun.

Arbys Bourbon Bbq Brisket Sandwich Review
For a limited time, Arbys is offering Bourbon BBQ versions of some of their sandwiches. The sandwich is available with turkey, brisket, streak, or all three meats together in a holy trinity of protein. The sandwich is dressed with brown sugar bacon, Kentucky bourbon BBQ sauce, crispy onions, and smoked cheddar cheese on a star cut bun.
I tried the brisket version of the sandwich. From the first bite, the sweetness of the bourbon BBQ sauce was present. As I ate through the sandwich, the sweetness began to become overwhelming. The amount of sauce on the sandwich was not the issue, it was the amount of sweetness in an individual drop. It completely overwhelmed the rest of the sandwich.
The bacon was decent, but also sweet, which did not help an already overly sweet sandwich. The onion straws on my sandwich were not crisp, which was a major disappointment because they provided no textural contrast. The rest of the sandwich was about what I expected. The brisket was fine, but once again suffered due to the sweetness of the sandwich.
Overall, I would not be interested in trying one of the other versions of the sandwich because they would likely be overwhelming sweet as well. I found my experience eating this sandwich disappointing because the advertisements look so appealing. Unfortunately, when you bite into this sandwich it takes more like birthday cake than bourbon BBQ.

Just when you thought Arby’s had reached peak Ron Swanson-level meat capacity – see: the Meat Mountain – they find a way to one up themselves. To gear up for summer, the fast food chain brought back its Bourbon BBQ menu, three sandwiches that each feature a different protein and an oak barrel-aged Kentucky bourbon BBQ sauce. In case you can’t decide between crispy buttermilk chicken, Angus steak, or smoked brisket, there’s an option that includes all three.
The limited-time Bourbon BBQ Triple Stack is a true behemoth. It somehow manages to get all three meats, brown sugar bacon, crispy onion strings, cheddar cheese, bourbon BBQ sauce, yellow mustard and Worcestershire sauce in between two buns. This big guy has 910 calories and a whopping 65 grams of protein in it, so while it’s pretty unlikely you’ll finish it in one sitting, for the challenge-accepted type, it could be fun to try.
It obviously draws comparisons to Arby’s infamous Meat Mountain, which stacks an even crazier amount of proteins into one sandwich: chicken tenders, roast turkey, ham, corned beef, brisket, Angus steak, roast beef, and pepper bacon. Say what you will about fast food, but don’t say Arby’s doesn’t love some dang meat.

Arby’s Releases Smoked Bourbon Inspired By Its Sandwiches Here’s How To Try It
Arbys has the meats and now the bourbon to pair with them.
The fast-food chain announced Monday the release of its limited-edition Arbys Smoked Bourbon, in partnership with Ohio-based craft distillery Brain Brew and smoked with the same woods used for Arbys meats.
The whiskey takes inspiration from Arbys smoked brisket sandwich and limited-edition real country-style rib sandwich. It will be available exclusively at ArbysSmokedBourbon.com starting Wednesday at noon for $60, plus tax.
Arbys Smoked Bourbon is the companys second foray into the liquor business. Last year, Arbys launched french-fry flavored vodka Crinkle Fry Vodka and Curly Fry Vodka which quickly sold out.
After our successful vodka launch last year, we knew we wanted to release another unexpected liquor that our fans of legal drinking age can responsibly pair with our menu items, Arby’s President Jim Taylor said in a statement.
Arbys smoked meats are the cornerstone of our brand, so why not use our expertise to create a delicious smoked bourbon that complements the flavors and enhances the experience of enjoying our Smokehouse Sandwiches?
To produce the bourbon, American oak is smoked in a patented process with hickory, mesquite and pecan smoke from Sadlers Smokehouse in Texas. The smoked wood is then placed inside the bourbon, where it’s heated and cooled to replicate seasonal temperature variations.

The chains Bourbon BBQ sandwiches were first introduced in 2016 but were only around for a few weeks. As before, Bourbon BBQ sandwiches come drizzled in a BBQ sauce made with barrel-aged Kentucky bourbon, Worcestershire sauce, cider, brown sugar, vinegar, tomato paste, and yellow mustard.
This time around, Bourbon BBQ sandwiches are available in three varieties: Bourbon BBQ Brisket, Bourbon BBQ Turkey, and the new Bourbon BBQ Barrel Stack.
The Bourbon BBQ Brisket features 13-hour smoked brisket topped with brown sugar bacon, crispy onions, melted cheddar cheese, and barrel-aged Kentucky bourbon barbecue sauce on a star cut bun.
The Bourbon BBQ Turkey features roast turkey topped with smoked cheddar cheese, brown sugar bacon, crispy onions, and Kentucky BBQ sauce on a star cut bun.
Both sandwiches are available for a suggested price of $5.99 at participating locations nationwide .
